This was our third stay at the Grifo and yes the rooms are small and the street can be noisy but this is Rome and for the price this hotel is great. There are some really good restaurants choices in the neighborhood. You can walk to anywhere in the city from here but there is also a bus stop right across the street.
The hotel provides a very generous breakfast compared to some other budget hotels. Meats, cheese, cereals, yogurt, croissants and good coffee. The rooms are clean and attended to daily.
We were surprised by the warm weather in mid November and the air conditioner and refrigerator were not working so we had to keep the window open. This was a very small issue and would not keep us from going back again.
