Dates: 21-24 July
Reviewer: Traveler with family, two boys (13, 11)
Room Size: 1 Quad Room
Location: Very convenient, next to the Lepanto Metro Station. It was only a 1.5 block walk. It is also in a relatively quite area of town about 9-10 blocks from the Vatican. There is a grocery store around the corner where you can pick up snacks and water relatively cheap if bringing a family.
Experience: The room was clean and the air conditioning worked fine. All furniture was in good repair. The windows block out any city noise and the room can be darkened with the curtains closed. The breakfast was good. Shower was a little small.
Cost: Reasonable compared to other comparable hotels and for the time of year.
Hotel Staff: They were all nice and the front desk did a nice job coordinating transportation to and from the airport. They also made a nice recommendation on an Italian resturant around the corner. I believe the owner was Octavius but it was a family run place with great food and a reasonable price (compared to many others). We ate there two nights in a row. Would have made it three, but we were out late sight seeing and didn't make it back.
Overall: I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends, based on my experiences. They also have a nice, small map of Rome helpful for sightseeing.
