“Vatican at your doorstep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Great location, 2min from Lepanto metro station, a nice 10min stroll to the Vatican city. A cute and cosy hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff, wi fi also in the rooms for free / not great connection though, and a downside - smelly lift and very narrow staircase? Quiet area.

Room Tip: First floor, so you can carry your baggage and avoid the lift.

Stayed in a triple room for a few days in august. Booked online and had no issues at all with our reservation or check in. Very easy to get to as it is very close to lepunto metro station. The room was modern and comfortable, with a very effective air conditioner, full bathroom, small solarium with chairs and modern decor. The shower was quite weak - none of us girls attempted to wash our hair here because it would have taken forever. The housekeeping was great, the room and full hotel was always tidy. The breakfast was one of the better ones I've had in Europe, with made to order cappuccinos and plenty of options (for Europe.) the front desk reception was not especially warm but that didn't effect our visit.

It's a few metro stops to the major sights and shopping. We didn't spend much time in the neighborhood around the hotel so I can't comment on that.

The only areas I would change if I could: the elevator was one of those old style European affairs with a metal door that closes manually. When we brought our luggage up to the room and back down, someone forgot to close the door so the elevator was effectively out of service - but it was not much of a bother. Also - whenever the air conditioner is on, the unit flashes these disco- like lights that could keep a light sleeper awake. This may be a tactic to avoid guests setting the AC to the minimum temp and then passing out for the night.

Would definitely recommend as a comfortable hotel that can help you relax after Rome beats you up during the day.

Located close to the metro station and within walking distance of vatican Museum. This small hotel is very clean. rooms are small, but very clean bathroom, and perfectly appointed. The staff was very accomodating and the owner greated us at breakfast. It is a family operated hotel where they make you feel like part of the family. The breakfast is simple but enough to get you started. During reservation I requested a room without carpet due to my wife's allergy and it was ready upon arrival. Compared to other hotels in Rome , the rate was very reasonable. We did not get to enjoy the roof top terrace since we only stayed for one night, but surely will book this hotel again when back in Rome......

Very convenient location close to the subway, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, we especially LOVED the tiny rooftop terrace and the friendliness of the staff. There is a wonderful ice cream store (Mondo Arancina) just around the corner, my children had to stop by there every night before going to bed! The elevator is sooo cute and quaint. We've stayed twice already in 2010 and 2012 and if I ever go back to Rome I will stay there again for sure!

Room Tip: The rooms on the 4th floor, so the rooftop terrace is just a step outside your door

Simple but clean hotel situated near the Vatican and metro station. Rooms are a tad small but well maintained. Staff is friendly, courteous and accommodating. Breakfast is OK, however we feel that breakfast should be extended till at least 10: 00 am. Breakfast ends by 9:30 am. Also, the elevator is minuscule and the carpeting in the elevator needs to be changed (the elevator smelled of foot odor by the end of the day - I suspect that the carpets were masked with foot powder in the morning to camouflage the smell). Would stay here again for location. No parking available.

Centrally located to attractions we wanted to see yet small and in quiet area.On/near subway/bus route . Able to walk to restaurants. beautiful view of the city lights. We enjoyed a "perfect" evening on the 4th floor patio that we had all to ourselves, wine, cheese, fruit and fireworks(we never found out why) Visit the small church around the corner (you can view its roof from the balcony) each side altar represents a different country. Altars and stained glass depicting specifics of each country. Picture St.Patrick in stained glass atop an altar of shamrocks of Connemara marble.

Room Tip: Modern decor, clean room, breakfast area gardenlike, small lobby with a mini bar, helpful staff. 4th...

Perfect hotel in a very nice neighbourhood - not too crowded with tourists (we were keen to avoid Piazza Navona and its tourist-trap hotels). We were on a short break and it was just right for us as a base from which to explore the city on foot. Rooms have modern decor, are clean and showers are powerful. I would definitely book this hotel again when I return. Breakfast was absolutely great (cappuccino, fresh fruit, try the lemoncake!). We took our parents for their 60th Birthday and they loved it too.

Room Tip: We had the rooms facing the inner courtyard so away from any traffic noise. We also made use of the...
