This is a gem of a hotel, very close to the Spanish Steps, Via Condotti and some of the best restaurants and wine bars in Rome. This is not your "Plasticised Hilton" this is a real old style hotel, with furnishings and decoration to match. Old style grandeur with real character. Rooms were of a fair size, exceptionally clean, beds and towels changed daily. Brilliant staff and excellent breakfast. If you are looking for a modern hotel, with all the amenities, then the Carriage is not for you, but if you want character coupled with a great location and staff that care, then give it a try.
