I stayed for two nights and found the staff and the hotel really very nice. The bathroom was all in marble and had all the ammenities. Safe and refrigerator in room. Internet was also in the room but was really not very good. There was a supermarket just down the street and I bought water, fruit and popcorn. The hotel had free ice available as well as a bar and the breakfast buffet was really quite a feast. Scrambled eggs, meat, all sorts of breads, cereals, sliced cheeses and meats, pastries, yogurts, juice and coffees. The staff was very accomadating in arranging tours and shuttle services. The #52 bus to take you into center city was just up the street for 1 euro. They offered a discount for the Hop on & off tour bus that takes you to all the monuments. I took a tour bus to Tuscany on the second day and was picked up and delivered right at the hotel. I would stay at the Claridge again, it is well worth the money for all that you get. It is also located in a really nice part of Rome near the Borgese Gardens.
