Choosing a place to stay in Rome is always problematic for us because we often end up spending a fortune and getting a miniscule room. This time around, we got a very good corporate rate so we didn't mind the fact that our room was very small even though it was one of the larger rooms on the property. (I think they called it a suite or a deluxe or somesuch). We consoled ourself with the brilliant location and the extremely helpful concierge (Federica) who came up with a number of excellent sightseeing suggestions including a nearby Palazzo which is open only on Saturdays and was not crowded.
Otherwise nothing important to say: there is a little outdoor seating area where people sit and smoke. The breakfast room is windowless and crowded. There are a couple of notable places to eat nearby: Armando's which has excellent home cooking and the famous San Esutachio cafe.
