When my girlfriend and I got to Sunshine House on a very hot and humid Friday afternoon, we were frightened by the vandalized buildings that led to the building. We took the dirty elevator up only to wait in front of their reception desk for close to an hour without anybody showing up to talk to us. Finally, a very rude voice in PA system told us to go downstairs. There, we were told that our booking was no good, and by now we were glad that we would be freed from such a dump. Simona, the lobby receptionist was a bit polite, but she still refused to help us find a new place. We ended up leaving our luggage at Termini while we searched for another hotel in a better part of town. Given the danger, filth, and poor service at Sunshine House, we were glad to pay a little bit more and stay somewhere else. Whatever you do, do not stay at, or in the neighborhood, of Sunshine House. Try Via Nazionale, they have many hotels there and, without advertising for the one where we stayed, the area is safer even at night. Whereas, Sunshine House was scary even at daytime.
