Stayed there many times with my company. Very practical location to be sure, and the comments about the front desk staff are very much to the point, except for a couple of the front desk staff.
The review which mentioned a lost purse/bag caught my interest because two years ago, I mailed work-related materials to the hotel two months ahead of time so they'd be there when I got there; spent two weeks there and never found my stuff. I was back there SEVEN MONTHS later, and asked if by any chance my parcel had ever been received- without even looking the front desl clerk said NO!- I waited till he was busy and looked in the storage room right next to the front desk, and right there on the shelf, in PLAIN VIEW was my parcel. It had actually been there even before my FIRST visit, but no one had ever bothered to check.
The food is pretty basic, but the new ddining room manager is very efficient and very pleasant.
watch out for gypsies & pickpockets hanging around the front doors!!

We have just stayed for a 3 night break at The Royal Santina Hotel and could not fault it. We had a room at the back which meant peace after hitting the streets of Rome.The breakfast was ample, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were all very helpful. We left our luggage in their luggage room on the last day because we had a late flight and we were also able to leave our passports etc in the safe until we picked our luggage up. We would recommend this hotel to anyone , it is convenient to the train and bus stations and all the sightseeing tours of Rome.We were very pleased with the service etc.

went for a short 3 night break to see the sites of Rome and could not have wished for a better hotel, friendly, helpful and ideally situated. Being next to the Termini and bus station thought there might have been a bit of noise, but all was quiet. Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This hotel is a good base for sightseeing. It is directly opposite where the terravision airport shuttle coach drops off so there is no need to look for a taxi or walk in an unknown place although the termini (station) is literally less than 100 yds down the street and from there you can take a train, take the metro or take a bus - you will pass the real taxi rank on the way - so DO NOT get in a taxi that is waiting by the bus.

The reception is smart and welcoming, the reception staff all spoke a little English - some more than others.

The room was clean, warm and the beds were comfy. Not luxury but adequate.

Because of the location, there is constantly the buzz of traffic and sometimes it was very loud, but I did not find this a problem as I live in a City anyway.

The resturant - which was the reason I booked this hotel was sadly a disappointment. It was expensive, had a limited menu and was very unwelcoming, the hotel obviously caters for businessmen/women and tourists are classed as a nuisance by the staff and the businessmen/women alike. No smiles for us!

If you are unfortunate enough to have your purse stolen while sightseeing - do not expect the staff to be sympathetic. In fact in my case one of them found if funny enough to smile at. All I asked for was directions to the nearest police station so I could report the incident for my insurance, I did not expect anyone to find this funny!

I have stayed in many hotels and this one from a tourist point of view in my opion would be a 2+, most definately not 4*.
