Just returned from a 5 nights stay in this nice and quite hotel in Via Flavia Roma near the Termini station but adequately far. Reception staff very good, polite and know English quite well. Clean with a daily change of towels and toiletries . Double room which we were allotted was rather small but had all amenities including A/C, phone, mini-bar, TV and digital safe deposit box. Adjoining bathroom also small but had everything working to satisfaction although the shower drain was slow. Continental buffet breakfast with juice, coffee or tea, warm milk, bread rolls and toast, ham and cheese slices, jam and butter, two types of cereals and four different types of croissants. Situated in a quite area nor far from a major bus stop in Via XX Settembre which has routes to all major points of interest. Taxi always arrived in a couple of minutes. Good restaurants in the vicinity where the clientele is most local.
Although a bit expensive considering that it is a 3 star hotel we have no regrets.

My husband and I went to Rome for the 6 Nations rugby match Wales v Italy, this hotel is not as central as I had thought, although it is in a very nice area, Via Flavia. There are lots of restaurants and a good deli nearby. The hotel staff are warm and friendly, the only thing I would say, they close the bar at 10.30pm, how early is that!! Beware the food prices in Rome are really really high. The hotel provides breakfast, which if you like ham and cheese is ok , although the rolls ran out on the last day(5day)stay. The room was a good size and overlooked the small courtyard garden, the bathroom was very big and the shower etc , all up to expectations with clean towels every day. All in all a good hotel for the price we paid for 5 days, but they need to address the bar situation all we wanted was a social drink after we returned from our meal at 10pm, and we often had to wait for someone to come and serve us, but apart from that I would recommend this hotel, also I must mention it had the hardest mattress I have ever slept on, resulting in a really bad back for the 5 days of our stay.

Hotel Medici is on a quiet side street.

Rooms are comfortable (quadruple share), breakfast selection has pleasant options, hotel staff quite helpful and had good grasp of conversational english

nice surprise of Via Flavia. we ate all our dinners at the restos on VIa Flavia near the hotel (good priced meals, not so touristy), especially that classic italian and the "50's movie-themed" restaurants a few meters from the hotel. The resto (crazy cow, or something) directly front of the hotel was quite forgettable (maybe thats why I forgot the names)

I spent 2 nights at the Medici and booked this hotel directly as it was much cheaper that way (80 + 90 euros for a Thursday and Friday).

It is a pleasant hotel though the single beds are tiny, not 3ft wide as I expect a single to be. Room was dark due to what appears to be fixed shutters, which was a shame as it looked over the attractive patio garden.

Staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to keep our luggage for a few hours after we checked out so we didn't have to lug it to the station.

Breakfast was fine with lots to choose from if you enjoy cereals and sweet buns.

There is a fabulous restaurant round the corner to the right of the hotel and across the street but pop in and book early.
