The hotel is on a quiet side street on the east of Rome but still within walking distance of all the attractions. It was clean and reasonably well furnished. We had a triple room which was plenty big enough and of a reasonable standard of decor. Breakfast is a buffet affair but plentiful, more than enough before a long day's sightseeing. The staff are excellent, all spoke English and were extremely helpful.

Spent two nights in the Hotel Medici and found it reasonably good. On arrival the concierge was pleasant and courteous, The room was a little disappointing in that it was darkish and hardly spacious but as Roman hotels go it was fine. It was clean and had a room safe and large bathroom. The breakfast was ok with ham, cheese cereals and juices. The bar was good with a nice outside lounge and the prices were the cheapest we experienced in Rome.
The hotel is within 10 min walk to the main train station- Termini. I printed out a map using google maps which was handy.
From termini you can get the hop-on-hop-off bus tour of Rome which was well worth the 16 euro price.
In essence, a mid-range hotel in a good location for 150 euro per night.

Although I read the reviews I felt this Hotel was not centrally located and was in fact quite a walk to most central attractions.
I am usually happy with most hotel however I was disappointed in the size of the rooms which were miniscule and quite dark. Very different to the photos. On checking in I was given a key to a third floor room to which my elderly mother and I took our own bags into a very tiny lift to the room. You can imagine my surprise when I walked in to find peoples bags and belongings everywhere. No apologies and a room that was substandard was given. I had booked this hotel nearly nine months in advance so I was disappointed.
All I can say is beware of photos. I would like to see the room on the website as they did not offer different levels of rooms.
Wouldn't recommend!

LOVED this hotel! Though 3 star.. great service, great location and very nice staff. We were pleasantly suprised that the hotel was so nice. We could walk to the Termini and all the sites and sounds. The patio was great to sit and read at. Wine at the bar at night. And a good filling breakfast for the morning.
I would highly suggest this hotel!

We have just returned from a stay at the Hotel Medici and we had a wonderful time there. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and expected to have to wait to check in but the man on reception went out of his way to find a room that was ready and even took into account a room away from the road which was a request we had put in via the tour operator! The hotel was very well maintained and had a really nice feel. The lift is small but will accomodate 2 people with 2 case's easily. The room's are spacious and cleaned everyday, the towel's are changed everyday and the bed's are comfortable. We had a room facing onto the courtyard at the back of the hotel which was really quiet although the road infront of the hotel is very quiet by Rome standard's. Great hotel if you want to be near to the Termini but if you wish to visit many of the sight's and possibly nightlife near the Piazza Navona then it will be a short taxi ride and we didn't find this to be too much of a problem. Overall clean, comfortable hotel ,nice staff, good value and a good 3 star hotel.
