Myself and a friend stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights during our stay in Rome.

1. The Rooms were small however clean and had all the basic accessories that one needs
2 The Staff were the most rude on the Continent that I have ever expereinced - I am a Business Travel however this Hotel was for Leisure and I have never been spoke to in such an 'rude' and arrogant manner.
3. I had twisted my ankle it was pretty swollen and apparently there was no Ice available in the Hotel (38 Degrees during my stay) and no member of staff assisted me or were even bothered to help
4.'Smile' the Reception Staff did not smile, were arrogant, were in no shape helpful or went out of their way to help.
5. I was stopped on to occasions on the way back from an evening meal and asked if I was 'staying at the Hotel' My response was I wouldn't be walking in to my room if I wasn't staying here!

If the Staff would work on Good Manners, the occassional smile, and be most helpful I am sure the Hotel would be a Joy to stay in.

From my personal expereince I would 'Never' recommend this hotel to anyone based on my expereinces with the Staff and not the small rooms!

We found Eurostars Domus Aurea to be quite good value for money. The rooms were clean and modern as were the facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was good being in one of the cleaner areas of Rome and only a few hundred meters from the main train station.

Couple from Ayrshire Scotland -- My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days, we had heard that the rooms and bathrooms were small but our room was a decent size ( 5th Floor ) and the bathroom was great. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels left.The breakfast was buffet style and catered for every taste, The hotel was in a quiet area and if you turn left as you come out of hotel and then 1st left there is a really nice resteurant on the right hand side (not too expensive) We bought a Roma bus Tour ticket cost 23 euros for 2 days it stops at all the tourist sights you can get on and off at each sight and you get an audio commentary and buses are at the stops every 15 min great value for money. If getting a taxi from airport email hotel and they will send you one, cost 50 euros we thought this was expensive considering all the guide books say 30-40 euros but we were ripped off at the airport.

I loved Eurostars Domus Aurea. Been there with my wife in June 2008. The hotel is very well located, three blocks away from Termini Station, the central station for bus, subway and train of Rome. Employees are very nice, beginning from reception. I needed orientation about the safe box and the employee came around very quick and efficiently. There are good, yet simple, restaurants around the area, as well many 'tabacchi' shops and a laundry for those who are away from home for many days. I also needed hot water for a tea and it was provided instantly. Observations: a) the room is very small, as well the wardrobe and bathroom (you can´t leave much clothes in it); b) roof terrace, where breakfast was served, had its top a little dirty; c) there are no blackout curtains to isolate light in the rooms. Anyway, it´s a great hotel.
