“enjoyed our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

We stayed here 4 nights and were happy with our choice. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The dual-glazed windows were quite effective at shutting out the noise of the city. Of course it couldn't block out the noise from the restaurant below and also from the neighbors, but that wasn't too bad. We liked the general cozy feel of the place. It is very conveniently located near buses and the taxi stand. We were able to walk to most of the major sights, but chose to take the taxi to the Borghese Gallery and the Vatican Museum. Since the hotel doesn't serve breakfast until after 8, most mornings we walked over to Cafffe Camerino and grabbed a couple of cafes and pastries for about 6 euro total.

Our stay at this charming 6 room boutique hotel in Rome last week was absolutely delightful! Our room was spacious, elegantly appointed, and very quite despite the fact that we were steps away from one of the most popular Piazza's in Rome, Campo de Fiori, Thomas and his lovely wife went out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed ... including breakfast served in our room or on the lovely little terrace. The location was ideal ... walking distance to the Pantheon, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, and of course all of the great places to eat in the Piazza. We also loved being right next door to the Teatro Argentina! Bottom line, this was a wonderful retreat to return to after a long day of sightseeing! We can not wait to return to our new friends and our "home away from home" in Rome. Bob and Bobbie from Washington DC

My husband and I stayed at this 6 room hotel in Rome last week and absolutely loved it! The hotel occupies one floor of a beautiful building just a short walk from the Pantheon. You enter on a side street and hotel is located up three flights (stairs only). It feels very more like entering an elegant apartment than a hotel - here is no real lobby, on-site staff or restaurant. We thought we might miss the buzz of a traditional hotel but far from it - our stay was unbelievably quiet and peaceful. A nice respite after longs days and nights walking about this amazing town.
If you are looking for a spacious, clean, beautifully appointed and relaxing accommodation this is it. it felt very private and special. We did not see another guest all week though the morning staff (a charming couple from India) who brought breakfast in room were lovely people with perfect English. The proprietors were A+ as well. They are like-minded foodies who made excellent restaurant recommendations (they sent us to the restaurants where they eat) and made sure we had everything we needed. The place was a bit untraditional but for an advanced city traveller - or anyone looking to blend urban bliss with hotel tranquility we can't say enough about it! We would certainly stay again!

Room Tip: We stayed off the main entrance - probably better to be in another room but all are nice.

I first read about this small hotel in Rick Steve's book. It is in the perfect location - walking distance to all you need to see- Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Pantheon, and close to Campo de Fiori for great dinners in the Piazza, easy to use buses are not even a block away, clean, charming, extremely kind and helpful owner and workers. Pizza Florida is right there with great easy pizza. my husband and I and our three teenage sons stayed here for four nights in two adjoining rooms. perfect!

My wife, Lyndel and I started our Italy vacation in Rome at the Relais Teatro Argentina. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. It was literally in waling distance of all the major sights. It was our anniversary and my birthday and were greated with beautiful flowers and wonderful wine. We will be back and stay here again! The staff was gracious and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great stay and wonderful start to a memorable trip!

This is the best location in Rome for visiting the sites. Located on a small street midway between the Pantheon and Piazza Venezia you can walk almost anywhere that you want to get to from here (a taxi to the Vatican was a good choice). The rooms are very spacious and the private bathrooms are among the best of any B&B that we have ever stayed in at any price. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. Paolo was making arrangements for us well before we arrived such as airport transportation, etc. Service that you will not get at a hotel. The bed was a newer but also had a very firm mattress. Breakfast consisted of assorted breads, yogurt, cereals, preserves, and beverages. Would highly recommend Relais Teatro Argentina for a stay of any length.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have tubs so specify if you want a tub/shower if you prefer that over a shower. The t...

Relais Teatro Argentina is a cozy 6 room B&B located in an ideal location within walking distance to many sites that tourists want to visit. The rooms are nicely appointed and a good size, with modern bathrooms, and the owners and staff were very helpful. We stayed three nights and had dinner at three good restaurants recommended by the owner. The breakfast was basic, but generous in quantity. They have a small, but flower covered balcony where you can eat or have your breakfast in your room. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of the building and there is a restaurant downstairs that generated some noise, but nothing too bad. While not cheap, given everything it offered good value for Rome. We would definitely stay again.
