Came for one night but I could stayed for weeks!!! The room was excellent, no noise, jet the window on the second floor was facing the street side; breakfast was excellent, not too opulent but certainly plenty to eat if you wanted to. Central? are you kidding? It is more than Central! It was magic! in 15 minutes brisk walk you are at Trinita' dei Monti, (Piazza di Spagna) You Pay 100% more if you find a similar hotel in the historic centre. Guaranteed. There is a covered market nearby, Piazza Alessandria: it's a wonder!!! There is the Rinascente Department Store adjacent to the Hotel, Piazza Fiume is a "spring" of Public Transports. Highly recommendable. Enjoy your stay.

We stayed there for five nights in August. Size-wise, it's what you expect in Europe - small compact room, but adequate. Room had A/C, bathroom/shower, a safe, and mini fridge and TV. The furniture was dated, and there were signs of wear, but it was clean and safe. Basically all you need to sleep in at night, and to shower in each morning.

While the day clerk wasn't overly friendly, he was efficient, and the night manager was friendlier. The continental breakfast was better than most you'll find in North American hotels - juices, coffee/tea, cereals, breads/muffins/bagels with cheeses and spreads - it even had boiled eggs.

Location was adequate for the price, you could walk to most of Rome's attraction if you chose - the Vatican was located the farthest - 45 minutes by foot, or better to pay 2€ for 5 minute subway ride.

If you stay there, ask for something on one of the higher floors. It wasn't a huge issue - but one night we could hear the late night chat of people out in the rear courtyard even with the window closed.

For a value priced hotel - 3 star North American - it did the job well. It was a safe, clean, well situated hotel to sleep and shower in while exploring the city by day.

just back from this hotel. no where near a 4 star . only just a 3 star if lucky. room small and noisy. breakfast ok. staff very helpful. needs a major overhaul !!
