Very peacefull Hotel, great breakfast, rooms clean.

In a great location, for the Termini, and close to shops. loads of restaurants within walking distance.

It was my mothers 70th birthday whilst we were there, and the hotel staff gave her a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine and a card. Thank you.

The Columbia is nothing to look at from the outside but it's only a block from the opera, three blocks from Santa Maria Maggiore, 20 minutes or so from the Coliseum, 15 minutes from the Spanish Steps and 5 minutes from the station. The service is excellent - staff can't do enough to please you. Rooms are typical European - a little on the small side for North Americans but very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Good TV for when you need to crash. Reasonably priced internet by comparison to other Italian hotels we had visited. Breakfast - included - is very, very nice and relaxed. We had to check out at 5 a.m. and a box breakfast was waiting for us at the desk. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Best recommendation? Next time we go to Rome we're staying at the Columbia again.

when , you first see the hotel from the outside you will not be impressed, but once you get inside you will be very comfortable in the charming rooms. Breakfast is lovely and ample
and can be taken outside on the terrace if the weather is nice.

The Columbia hotel is ideal for a vacation in Rome. The hotel is ideally located in the city. It is 20 minutes walk from the train station, 20 mins walk to the coliseum and 5 mins walk to the main shopping area. A compact hotel with staff that has a great attitude ensuring your stay in the romantic city of Rome is a memorable one.

When you arrive you are met with a genuine warm welcome and check in must have taken about 6 mins. The rooms are very clean, fresh and air conditioned (at no extra cost). The bedroom is just big enough for you, your partner and a double bed, initially this was a bit of a shocker, however you soon get used to this as the feeling or aspect of the room does feel light and airy. The hotel has 5 floors all serviced with a lift so access to each floor is easy. The top floor / 5th floor is the breakfast area. In the brochure there is a promise of a balcony breakfast area, but when we were there this did not seem to be open. This was not an issue as most morning were on the cooler side and it never seemed to bother us to find out if we could go out on the balcony area. Whenever you were in contact with the staff on reception you always given as much help as possible.

A great hotel in a great position - we would go again.
