Very nice hotel. Who wants to stay in a Best Western when you can stay in this wonderful place? This is an Italian hotel with a small lobby, but don't let that put you off. Hotel staff is very congenial & will help you with anything you need. The rooms are large compared to others, with mini-fridges and air conditioning. Many have beautiful Murano glass chandeliers. Breakfast is included and it is very good (hard boiled eggs, meats & cheeses, granola, yummy yogurt & really good coffee made just for you). Great water pressure in the shower. There is a lift (elevator). We also had them arrange for a car & driver as well. We had a larger group (7), so the car service was a great advantage. If you have a larger group, the car service prices are very reasonable & he takes you wherever you want to go & then picks you up whenever you say. Good shopping and great restaurants in the area, just ask the person at the front desk where to go. Not a seedy area - very safe to walk after dark (and we did, as many shops are open until 8 or 10pm.). This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and cannot wait until I can return. A flower truly blooms in Rome, and it is the Hotel Columbia.

I satyed here with my wife and daughter a week a.o. for the wedding of my other daughter and am very happy to have booked this hotel. Service is outstanding, receptionist gave us very good advices on restaurants and trips. Rooms were very clean, roof terrace is lovely for breakfast. Location is just fine for sightseeing the central parts of the city.
I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit rome fo a holiday trip and would certainly book it again if I return for another visit to rome.

Just spent weekend at Columbia Hotel. Had emailed before we went as 7 of us & one special birthday. We were earlier than the check in time but two rooms ready for us & third was ready in 15 mins. All 3 three rooms close by each other & all very nice. The receptionist very helpful with restaurant recommendations & general tourist advice. First evening on roof terrace which is just lovely the hotel had organised complimentary bottle of champagne for my friend's birthday just a nice just before we went out for dinner. The hotel is in a very central location easy for getting around. Doesn't look much from outside but rooms spacious & adequate with lovely roof terrace for breakfast & drinks. I would certainly recommend this hotel & would definitely use again if I returned.

easy to find near termini, good restuarants nearby. walked all sites bar vatican city.receptionist marked map for routes to sites of interest.
