“Absolutely top hotel in the middle of Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

In walking distance from Fontana de Trevi and the Spanish steps. Excellent hotel, nice clean rooms, well equipped and a good breakfast. The reception was also very helpful. You wount be disappointed and we will certainly come back.

We found the hotel perfect for exploring Rome , clean , friendly staff and it's with in easy reach of the metro . Basically only used the hotel for showering and sleeping as we were out at first light and back late at night ! All major attractions are close by and a map which is free from the hotel is a must . We would stay again .

Room Tip: A room with a queen bed appear to better .

Think of this hotel as a base. Somewhere you just want to go and get your head down between visiting beautiful sights. And for that its perfect. Rooms are clean, decoration is modern, staff are fantastic, it's comparatively cheap, breakfast is simple but good to start the day but as previously stated, the best thing about this hotel is its location. With a good pair of shoes you can walk to all the major sites in the city. We didn't get a metro the whole time we were there but when e did use it to get back to the airport, Barberini station is about 4 minutes away. It's not a luxury hotel with a spa! Gym and other fancy facilities, but then if you want to sit in a spa all day, maybe you're going to the wrong city.

I can just confirm the previous reviews. Location of the hotel is great: less than 5 min. from Barberini metro, less than 5 min. to Trevi Fountain, less than 10 min. to the main shopping street Via del Corso. Room was clean and with refurbished bathroom. Reception staff was friendly and helpful, nothing negative. But on the other hand, the range of offered services wasn't worth of four stars.

Room Tip: Rooms on top floor have terrace

This hotel was booked based on the reviews I read here at tripadvisor.

The location is decent, hidden in an alley, not far from Trevi Fountain. The hotel itself is more a 3 star than a 4 star hotel, it's a compact place to be. The room itself feels very small, bathroom is modern and nice, had a view overlooking an office. The bed was a big minus, queensize bed was two beds(really hard beds) put together. They were slipping away from each other from every movement.
The breakfast was simple but okay, they served scrambled eggs, cocktail sausages, fruits, yoghurt and some other stuff. Very small breakfast area, as everything else on the hotel.

It's a decent hotel, maybe not the hotel I would stay the next time I'm in Rome.

As stated before through previous reviews, the location is great and very close to the trevi fountain and shopping streets. Staff at reception is pleasant. Breakfast is quite ordinary. Room was with 2 single beds. Bathroom is modern but no bath - we were ok with having only a shower. Room was overlooking a street and it was not sound proof but it was not a problem during the night but at around 7 AM when card and motorbikes are passing by, it can disturb your sleep. It is not a busy street but the sound of a only one motorbike could wake you up. Room walls needed some repairs and a fresh coat of paint but it was not the end of the world. When i checked out, they had no room to keep the suitcases (we were coming back later to pick them out) had to be left in the main reception area without really good monitoring. Anyone could have come up and leave with them if reception was not attended or clerk busy on phone or with a customer. All these little details, for me, makes it a solid 3 stars hotel not 4 stars.

Room Tip: No room overlooking the street

As everyone else has said, the location of this hotel is perfect and within easy access of the sites. However, our 'double room' was actually a twin room with the two (rock hard) beds pushed together, so my boyfriend and I took turns at sleeping in the crack...not pleasant! It also didn't have a window, so we had to resign the idea of gazing whimsically outside at the iconic city below and adjust to sleeping in an albeit pleasantly furnished, cell.

There was also no tea/coffee provided in the room and no iron. Ok maybe I am a bit precious, but personally, the first thing I like to do when I arrive at a hotel after a long journey is make a coffee! No such luck. My boyfriend had bought some shirts with him specifically for dining out which he could not wear because he had nothing to iron them with! When I asked the guy on reception if he could provide us with an iron he gave a very blunt 'no' undermining this hotel's supposed 4 star rating.

Again cannot fault the location and we had a wonderful time in Rome despite these small issues!

Room Tip: If you are a couple and you get given room 108 ask for a different room!
