Spent three nights at Hotel Giotto, which were pleasant and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I advise any travellers to go to Battistini train station rather than Cornelia station ,as it is an easier walk and not continuously up hill and takes around 10-15 minutes walk. Found the hotel a little hard to find as side street is not clearly marked however if you take a map, there a many helpful locals who will point you in the right direction. Upon arrival we were informed that there were no twin rooms available so for our first night we would stay in singles. However, we were advised by our travel operator that Hotel Giotto allocates rooms upon arrival so we were not surprised.
The next day the man at reception advised that our luggage would be moved to a twin room that day which it was upon our return. The hotel is clean and tidy and they have a luggage room if your flight is not until later in the day.
Hotel Giotto is an affordable and excellent base to explore Rome, if you don't mind using the local Metro-net to get into the centre everyday, but at 11 euros for a 3 day travel pass who does.
The only downside was the breakfast which is a cold buffet of cakes, bread, cheeses and ham. However there is a store next to the train station where you can grab something to eat.
Overall i would highly recommend this hotel as affordable, clean and pleasant which offers a no frills stay.
