“The Italian Hotel with the Irish Name”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Stayed here for six nights during the Christmas holidays. The decor was understated elegance. Loved the breakfast room. It was all in white and along with the great buffet it made waking up early to go on the excursions so much easier. The 147 steps, covered with a clear awning was truly spectacular. The staff was fabulous. Everyone was helpful and polite. I liked that it was such an intimate place to stay, only 29 rooms. Ours was large but we could have used more drawers. Appreciated the location too. We took cabs mostly as I have a sore leg. They came in quickly and we were at interesting sights in a matter of minuets. A real plus with the location was all the many restaurants that were nearby.

We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful in advising the routes and locations of all major sites. The location of this hotel is good and within walking distance of Trevi Fountain, Monument of Vittoria Emmanuel II and Colosseum. Breakfast is good and rooms are comfortable. Good restaurants available nearby too. I would certainly stay in this hotel again. Recommend comfortable walking shoes!!!!!!

After departing an organised tour that ended in Rome, it was a nice welcome to spend 2 nights at the Bailey's Hotel, where I had an opportunity to relax in comfort after a hectic schedule.
The hotel was easy to find and located in a street surrounded by a variety of restaurants. Train stations were within walking distance.
The concierge at the Bailey's Hotel were extremely helpful and accommodating. They were happy to give me directions and let me use their computer to print out e-tickets. So friendly!
The room was plush and clean with little noise from outside. I could have stayed on for much longer - I slept so well!
Excellent wi-fi connection also.
I highly recommend this hotel for those travelling solo or as a couple, especially if you are on a budget and would like to stay somewhere that is a little bit fancy.

What a lovely hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Bailey's Hotel which is situated in a nice location, close to train terminus, metro and buses, but on a quiet road, away from the traffic. Our superior room was beautiful, with good facilities. The staff were very pleasant and always helpful. We took the hop-on, hop-off bus tour which was good value. The continental breakfasts were plentiful if not always to the taste of the British traveller.

We stayed three nights, we could get to most places, good transports, lots of shops around, the road xx September is good for shops, it is a business area, but near enough to the centre, about 15 minutes to the Spanish steps,...... Good restaurant near there gusto pinto. The breakfast was ok, could be improved, the patisserie was good quality, but not everyone like cake at breakfast, most tourist prefer a continental approach.

Stayed at the Baileys for long weekend. Good points: quiet back street; very close to bus stops for buses 60 and 62 which take tourists to many of the main sites; near metro station (very accessible for tourist sites) and within reasonable walking distance of Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and main shopping streets; attentive staff; room was clean and tidy with towels changed daily; 3 good restaurants in immediate vicinity. Poor points: room very small; very little storage space; 8 coathangers for 2 people; boring breakfast with little choice unless you like pastries; broken electrical wire went unnoticed for 2 days.

Room Tip: Avoid room 202 - no natural light; overlooks fire escape/stairwell

My husband and I took an Italian jaunt for our honeymoon, and with blind faith, let our travel agent book our hotels. We arrived to Rome a day early (long story,) but the hotel easily accommodated us, and we're so incredibly gracious. The hotel's quaint and within walking distance to most of the sites. The staff was incredibly helpful in suggesting 'non-touristy' dinner spots. Will most definitely be back!
