This is relatively good located hotel for the guests who are passing by Rome, as we were. It is close to Rome Termini RC as the hotel ca 500 meters away from the station itself and is easy reached by walking. We needed overnight stay for Rome before heading to the South of Italy and Hotel Center 123 passed OK to the task with relatively good value - booked by booking.com.

There are some strange points about the hotel though - the staff at night not extremely friendly, yet it may be due to some language luck as the day portiere was pleasant and very helpful . Your hotel may be one out of three buildings (we actually stayed at #3 Hotel) and you do not know in advance which one is yours - do not rush to get in with you cases.

The hotel we stayed (Hotel #3) in is reasonably clean state and has a lift to get to the floor with the luggage. Yet announced minibar and TV was not functioning - minibar is empty and off and for TV remote you need to leave 20 euro deposit, which was funny enough. We have not used AC as it was not needed - no comments on this.

The room itself is relatively poor with some vintage furniture inside, yet large enough for one night stay. However the bath room with shower inside is claustrophobic indeed - you should be very careful in both bathroom and in shower cabin itself not no hurt yourself.

Breakfast is Rome simple - some sweet rolls, hot drinks and juices at the lovely terrace overlooking the backyard garden.

You may book the day trips and bus excursions from the reception, which is almost standard at any Rome hotel.

Overall the value is OK for single night stay with nothing to die for.

Good location, walking distance to Colossum and Termini Station. Rooms are a little dated. Considering the price you pay, this is actually decent. Stayed here for a few different times on our trip so we have figure them out a bit. Not all rooms are created equal. Some are spacious and some can be pretty bad. There are rooms that have a terrace too. It all depends. The rooms can use some freshing up. The towels are interesting, they feels like table cloth more than towels. Center 1 seems to be the best out of the 3 buildings. The staffs are friendly. All our requests were met. Their english in general are good. We left our bags there for a few days and they were ok with that too. They need you to put a 20 euro deposit for the TV remote. Will give you back the money upon the return. The breakfast is decent.

Booked and paid in advance from australia through a travel agent. Arrived at hotel after walking for 20 minutes to be told. " No you are not at this hotel but at our other hotel. Go out the door walk down the street and turn the corner." "You will be there in 10-15 minutes walking."Yes they have more than one hotel. They over book and then refer you onto their other hotels. We were not told this!. They charge for a remote for the tv. The aircon doesn't work. The room had not been cleaned as the previous occupants baggage tags were lying on the floor in the corner. Needless to say we did not stay. Left and found another hotel even though we had paid for 4 nights in advance.
Check which hotel you are booked into 1 2 3 or whatever. !!

With good intent the travel agent made out reservations, believing info she had been given by the hotel.
It is in the very dingy, dirty, dark part of a town.
Disinterested reception staff pushed us to another of their hotels around the corner at 10.30 at night. Air conditioning not working but would not commit to having it fixed. We walked out after pre-paying Aus$400 for two nights and checked into another hotel (Donatello) around the corner without even bothering to notify center 123. They didn`t deserve that consideration. We have advised our travel agent to remove them from any advisory system they have. Tbhere is only one restaaurant within walking distance. Book in nearer front entrance to Terminii station , say on via Cavour. Remember to do all your tourism research before you get to Rome because there are NO information offices in Rome at all. bDo All your homework before you leave home. They just want your money and would rather you left it in a bag and just left the town .

take bus 105 (sometimmes it can be very crowded; and once my girlfriend got harassed by a group of 18 years old pocketpickers) from Roma Termini for 4 stops, you are right beside the door of Center Hotel 3. The receptionists are several grandpas, speak some English (at least one can communicate with them), very friendly and helpful. We took their suggestions on the restaurants nearby, dropped our luggage in their cabinet for half a day after check-out, got advised how to take the bus to go around Rome. Yes, they were just like the sweetest Grandpa, which made us feel warm. Absolutely compliment on that! However unfortunately the rooms in Center 3 are not really good, tiny, old, and you don't want to enter the bathroom without slippers. But you get for what you pay. €50/night for a double room, is probably the cheapest you can find in Rome.
