I stayed at the La Griffe for a 3-night stay earlier this month. Overall the stay wasn't bad. The hotel is located on the Nazionale, not too far from Termini Rail station. You can walk to the Coliseum, Palantino Hill, and the Roman Forum. It's a healthy walk, downhill to get there but a slight incline back to the hotel.

The decor at the hotel is quite unusual. They had dark gray hallways, which to me gave it more of a revamped warehouse feel. Rooms were white with a red focus wall.

Rooftop deck/restaurant was okay. Wouldn't call it gourmet food for dinner. Breakfast was a typical European buffet. Cereal, fruits, breads, and a few hot items.

Room Tip: Room sizes vary based on category. Avoid the least expensive category. They are quite small. Good...

We stayed here 16 - 21 April, having booked through Booking.com's Top Secret Hotels and were more than satisfied with the quality of accommodation and service at this boutique hotel (with several scenes from "Roman Holiday" pictured on the walls), centrally located on the Via Nazionale.
Although there was a delay in accessing our room, we were offered a complimentary drinks voucher as compensation. We'd booked a junior suite and were upgraded because of the delay. The air conditioned suite covered 2 floors, connected by a glass stairway; the lower floor overlooked Via Nazionale and had a Juliet balcony, Nespresso machine (ask for china cups to replace the polystyrene ones provided!), comfortable leather couch and chair and plasma TV. The upper level contained a huge and comfortable bed, a wardrobe (with a safeinside), a chest table, two bedside tables with lamps and a second widescreen TV. The spacious bedroom opened on to a good-sized bathroom containing twin sinks, loo, bidet and bath with overhead power shower and sliding glass screen. Toiletries were plentiful, of good quality and replenished daily. Slippers were provided. There was no great road noise even though Via Nazionale is a very busy thoroughfare.
The staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and efficient. The two Doormen were helpful with directions, and Joseph was especially so on bus, tram and restaurant information. The restaurant on the 9th Floor with panoramic views was excellent, with a wide selection of dishes and surprisingly inexpensive wines. Fine dining at a reasonable cost. The staff here, too, were friendly and helpful, especially Franco.
Beware, though, that breakfast comes in at 18 euro per person! We walked down the street each morning to a deli and cafe on the left opposite the Exposition Building (a 5 minute walk) and spent 5.50 euro on cappucinos and a selection of pastries for two!
We would highly recommend La Griffe and would happily return there if in Rome again.
Most of the tourist attractions - Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Forum and the Victor Emmanuel building are within easy walking distance of the hotel; The Vatican is further afield but you can walk there if you have the energy.
We bought an Omnia Pass on line before we left home: this entitles you to 3 days travel on one of the open-top bus tours, free entry into the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum, St Peter's Basilica (though there is a 7 euro charge for the guide and you can't get in without one!) without queuing, similarly free entry bypassing the queue into the Colosseum, 10% reduction on entry to the other popular sites and unlimited travel on the city buses and metro. Excellent value for money!
The Borghese Gardens (close to the top of the Spanish Steps) are worth a visit and the Piazza del Popolo below.
There are many beautiful churches to visit, including San Giovanni in Lateran0, San Pietro in Vincoli (containing Michelangelo's amazing statue of Moses) and Santa Maria Maggiore.
Buon Vacanza in the Eternal City!

Room Tip: Our Room, 307, was excellent in every respect (though because of the glass staircase, not suitable f...

La Griffe is part of MGallery with Accor. The location ( Via Nazionale) is fantastic as you may easily walk to every famous spots in Roma. We were upgraded to a superb suite (n°306) ...
There are a few "but..." to consider : (1) via Nazionale is very noisy as very busy ..so pick an higher floor than the 3rd one; (2) the room cleaning needs a severe improvement should the Griffe want to maintain the star level they intend to offer.
Reception , lobby staff are helpful; Room service 24/24 is great ..our experience was a good one ( for Accor club members as us) but you're not in a 5 star place; they just need to improve some of their day to day services

Room Tip: select a high floor and a room not on Nazionale

A designer hotel with a hand shower in a bath tub and nylon shower curtains that stuck to you.
We booked because of the supposedly stunning roof deck and views over Rome. Got to their restaurant and walked straight back out. Air conditioning showed 18 but the room was more like 26.

Great boutique hotel and well positioned for visiting the dights of Rome. Staff were very customer-focussed and very helpful at all times. The room was clean and spacious, with a large bed (although a little on the firm side). Only gripe was the WIFI which was great on the 1st night but seemed to drop in and out over the weekend period (where I guess a lot more guests were using it). Would stay there again and would recommend.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room that is not street side as there is a lot of traffic (its Rome!)

We stayed here for two nights during our stay in Rome after visiting for drinks on the rooftop bar we had wanted to change hotels anyway after out other hotel was a let down. My partner and I usually go for luxury hotels but thought we had found a bargain too good to be true, which it turned out to be.

Anyway we booked the Junior Suite at La Griffe which looked amazing online. When we arrived we upgraded to an Executive Suite which was simply AMAZING. It was a two story suite with a living/dinning room and bathroom with a lovely bath and shower downstairs, and upstairs was the bedroom with the biggest bed and another bathroom.

The room downstairs had two lovely big windows which we kept open most of the time as it was about 22 degrees in Rome. The Wifi was also very good.

The hotel staff were brilliant and very friendly always welcoming us in the morning and asking if there is anything we needed.
