we stay in rome for 3 nights in the embassy hotel.
hotel is not far from the termini station,providing convinience acess to various city atractions and direct acess to fumincino airport.
hotel is located in an old bulding in 3 floors with other companys and an other hotel sharing the bulding.
on the same floor was hotel rooms and offices,quite unexpected.
the noise in the morning is litle woried but anyway in the morning we was out for seeing so no problem.
our room was very smal with a small bathroom,no free enougth free space in the room for 2 people.
elevator in the hotel was very old style remind me houses from 60-70's movies
breakfast was a typical breakfast with litle choice's.
however hotel is worth the money pay for staying.
also the neiboorhood is very quite.

Don't be put off by some of the negative comments about this hotel. Have just spent four days there and found it perfectly adequate for a short stay in Rome - the rooms are quite small but big enough to sleep there, spotlessly clean, loads of hot water, good breakfasts and very friendly staff. If you just want a base to tour the city, then this is ideal, being within walking distance of the most popular attractions and also the Termini if you want to go a little further. There's a good pizza restaurant nearby and a little bar down the street which serves wonderful pastries even late at night!

Plus = clean room, helpful stuff, convenient location, cheap in comparison to other hotels in Rome

Cons = hotel is part of a building with other offices and all have a common entrance, very small & typical room, can hear noise from neighbooring rooms

tip = choose hotel Embassy only if you intend not stay in room apart from your night sleep.
Rome is a beautiful city and stay out as much as you can!

I would recommend it only for young people with low budget.

After seeing some good reviews on the hotel I was very disappointed. When we arrived at the front door, which looked like the back end of a garage, we buzzed the buzzer and went inside. The building belongs to 2 hotels and a language school! The hotel was very old fashioned and the rooms were very small and basic. The bathroom was so small I could hardly fit on the toilet seat and I am a size 10! To thier credit the rooms were cleaned daily and the reception staff very helpfull. There is NO point in getting up for breakfast, there was no tea or coffee and when it did come it was cold. The pastries were stale and cornflakes and warm milk was not a good combination for me. Italians are not big on breakfast either so I dont expect it was any different anywhere else of the same star. The location was ok, about 15 minute walk to the Trevi fountain. Overall I thought the hotel was overpriced for what it was, I would have expected to pay half of what we paid for a hotel of this quality which was meant to be a three star (more like a one star by English standards). But we made the most of it and had a great time but I would not recommend this hotel especially if you are looking for a romantic getaway!
