I stayed at the hotel in June 2005 for a week, and it was supposed to be a romantic first holiday with my boyfriend. Although we were extremely fortunate to get a room on the roof, with a terrace, the hotel itself is tired and shabby, and could do with a makeover. It was reasonably expensive, and we really only used it to sleep in ( in the 2 single beds that the double room turned out to be) as the bar was always shut and there wasnt anything else there to do. The reception staff are very nice, and the hotel is very close to Termini station, so we were able to take the metro a lot. There are lots of restaurants in the area for dinner. The buffet breakfast was ok. The shower was a bit tempremental, and the floor boards were uneven and creaky, but the air con worked well luckily. It was ok, but if we ever go back, I will stay somewhere else.

We stayed at this hotel after it was recommended by a relative who had stayed there. We had pre booked a taxi transfer from Ciampino Airport via the internet before we travelled, as our flight was not due to arrive until about midnight and we thought that we may as well get to the hotel sooner rather than later. Unfortunately the taxi was late and we did not get to the hotel until about 1.00am. Even at this late hour, Armando the gentleman on reception was extremely polite and very helpful and greeted us very warmly. There were three adults in our party and as we are related we decided to book a triple room in order that one of us did not have to pay a single supplement. We expected to be allocated a standard room with either a double and one single bed or three singles. We were in fact allocated what they termed "a suite" and were greatly impressed by it. The suite consisted of one large bedroom with twin beds, and a smaller separate but more than adequately sized room containing a double metal action sofa bed, dressing table, wardrobe and air conditioning. This room could have easily slept two adults if necessary which would have meant that four people could have shared the suite. There was also a large bathroom which was immaculately clean and the bedlinen was changed once while we were there, even though we only stayed three nights. Breakfast on the terrace was a pleasant start to the day and consisted of the usual fruit juices, cereals, cold meat and cheeses, yoghurts, croissants, breads and jams. We found all staff pleasant and very helpful at all times and the hotel although on a busy street, was quiet at night. This ensured that we had a peaceful night's sleep. It is very close to the Termini Station which was great if you wanted to catch the Metro or a bus and it was also very close to major tourist sites. There were plenty of good restaurants all sensibly priced in the immediate area or within a short walking distance and we did not feel threatened at all walking about in this area at night. We only stayed for three nights and did not manage to fit in all of our planned sightseeing and so we will be returning to Rome again in the near future. We will most certainly stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to other people.

On arrival we were met by a friendly member of staff who was polite, efficient and took the time to show us where the various sites were on the map.

The room on the 6th floor which had an east facing window, was small but was the only hotel (1 of 4) on our holiday that had a double matress. All the others were 2 singles.

Breakfast on the terrace was excellent and the terrace could be used for sun lounging if you asked the staff to unlock the door!

Very convenient for the sights and also had a lot of convenience stores for those essentials nearby.

We would stay here again.

The check-in staff lack basic manners and need training on customer service. We were greeted with a sarcastic comment about having the honeymoon suite and were initially given a room which stunk of smoke, although it was supposedly a non-smoking room, and also the bed had a large lump down the middle. We were then given room 313, which was less offensive on the nose and the bed bump feature was smaller than in the first room. The room was quiet but basic and also the shower door meant that the bathroom flooded everytime the shower was used.

The breakfast setting on the roof was quite pleasant and the overworked staff were friendly and accommodating.

The hotel location was convenient for the great historical attractions of Rome but overall we recommend not staying at this hotel. It was poor value for money.

Located very conveniently near Termini station, I had been told that this was a bit of a dodgy area. I found nothing dodgy about it at all! The bedroom was a little small for two, but was clean and contained everything we needed. The weather was hot and the airconditioner worked well. Also the rooms were very quiet so you couldn't hear any outside noise and slept well. Continental breakfast was great, although just make sure you don't stress out the waiters! I wouldn't call the service prompt but we were in no hurry and as it was buffet style it didn't really matter. The setting on the rooftop was very nice.
