I stayed here only one night as my week long booked hotel was full my first night. I staggered into the Torion at 11am after an 18 hour flight from the West Coast. No rooms were available that early. BUT, the front desk guy saw how tired I was and went and found me a room I could get into immediatly. THAT IS SERVICE! Took a shower and rested, went out into Rome, made possible by this great guy at the desk. This is a classic tourist hotel. A bit frayed at the edges, rooms need a remodel, nice bathroom, BUT one block to Termini Rail Station and Plaza Republica. I consider this a VALUE hotel.

This was a great little hotel- yes its basic with its rooms but when you're in rome how much time do you want to spend in your room anyway? The rooms and bathrooms were clean; breakfast was good, with a wide choice available. I found the staff to be friendly. Whats great about this hotel though is its location- its literally a 5-10minute walk to the collesium- as a result its also close to shops and cafes, gelato bars and a supermarket. It also has a great little roof garden where its great to catch some late afternoon sun after a day of sightseeing. Definately good value for money and a great base to explore the city from.

Stayed at Hotel Torino for 3 nights over Easter weekend. The only plus about this hotel is really the proximity to Termini station. It made catching an early train to FCO a piece of cake. Other then that, it was only okay. The breakfast buffet was basic--fruit, croissant, coffee. I found the front desk staff, at least the evening staff, to be rather unpleasant. The hotel room was clean, but had a old, tired feel to it. For 3 nights, where we were out of the room from literally 9 am to 10pm, we made it work. However, I would recommend to others that they stay elsewhere.

when my husband announced he had booked a romantic wkend away for valentines in a 4* hotel i was over the moon having got 3 children under the age of 10, i felt this was going to be fab!!
i looked up the hotel on the internet, and all pictures looked nice (but don't they always!!)
when we arrived there the first felling i had was that it was very quiet. the guy on reception was'nt very hospitable.
got to our room and opened the door to find a set of steps down to the bed which i nearly fell down!!
the double bed was 2 singles put together, the tv had 3 chanels, all italian, and the bathroom had a hairdryer on the wall with wires sticking out....oh, and no tea/coffee making facilities!!!!!!!!
when we asked at reception for a coffee he replied 'i have no-one here to make one' then when we asked about the bar he replied 'the bar is never open unless there is a conference'.
the second night when we arrived back in we asked about coffee, and he said 'well, i can't make it can i'
this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and my rating is lower than 2*
DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to top it off , no hot water coming out of the shower!!
we will never go there again.

This is definitely a 2* hotel and the worst hotel we have ever stayed to say the least. In fact we’ve stayed in 2* hotels better than that. We paid reasonable amount of money for it. We booked a double room and they provided us with a single room with two single beds put together to look like a double. The room was so small and basic we could hardly move around. The only entertainment was a 14’ TV only with Italian channels. The safe wasn’t attached anywhere so someone could take it anyway, no much of a safe. On the first day was not hot water in the hotel so we couldn’t have a shower. There was no space to put our luggage other than the corridor between the bed and the desk, which made movement around the room very awkward. Receptionists were unhelpful and they have done nothing about our complaints.
The bar downstairs was never open so couldn’t have even a drink or a coffee in the hotel. Breakfast was poor and very basic. Avoid.
