Stayed at this hotel last week 1st to the 3rd March - had a suite room with a jacuzzi bath and was amazing was concerned when booking that it was near to termini and not near any of the sites were were totally misguided on arriving there via the transport arranged through the hotel we were blown away... the hotel is imaculate and the service is out of this world.

We managed to walk to most of the sites from the hotel and found the staff at the hotel very friendly - defo try their capuccino they are the best in rome - trying to get my boyfriend to make them back home it just isnt working ha ha

They really look after you and make your stay in Rome very memorable

My husband and I spent 10 wonderful days in Rome last June and we send many thanks to the Residenza Cellini for helping to make this the trip of a lifetime. From the incredible cappucino and breakfasts every morning to the comfortable and spacious rooms to the impeccable service, this was a top-notch hotel in all respects and, quite honestly, the best lodging in Europe we had ever stayed in. In our opinion, though, the best part about staying in the Residenza was our gracious hosts, Barbara, Gaetano, and Donato, who always were as friendly, accomodating, and helpful as can be. In fact, the last night of our stay, my husband and I spent most of the evening at the hotel, chatting with Donato about his life, his travels, and his family. Whereas most travellers would be out on the town trying to catch last minute sights, we found this to be the perfect ending to our trip. To make it even more special, Donato presented us with a bottle of Italian wine as a thanks for staying at his hotel. We highly recommend the Residenza Cellini to all travellers visiting Rome and, if you do choose to stay there, please make sure to stop and chat with your hosts: you won't regret it!

We just returned from a month in Italy, and we stayed at the Cellini at the beginning and end of our trip. We loved this hotel!! Barbara and Donato were incredibly helpful. We traveled with our two very young children, and were nevertheless made to feel very much at home. Kudos for service that was truly a cut above!

As a retired couple, we have taken many trips to Europe and stayed many places. The Residenza Cellini stands out as a gem of an accomodation in Rome. A combination of small hotel and B&B, it is family-run, charming, comfortable, incredibly friendly, with a delicious breakfast and many wonderful recommendations for restaurants and ways to get around on buses, etc. It is near the railway station and if you come by air, they will meet you at the airport. There is no question about where we will stay when we return to Rome!

What can one write to do justice to a place that feels like home (a well appointed one at that) and people who feel like family? Stay here!! Even if it's a splurge to your travel budget, don't deny yourself the privilege. You won't regret it. A friend and I spent six nights at Residenza Cellini in late January. I knew the proprietors were special people from the very first email correspondence with Donato when booking the room. Barbara, Donato and Gaetano are all dear, dear people. On our arrival, Barbara took us on a "map tour" of the city, told us how the transportation works and gave great hints about which buses to avoid, where to buy certain items we were looking for at the prices the Romans pay (rather than upped tourist prices), and great suggestions for restaurants. The location is convenient and quiet (just around the corner from the intersection of Via Nazionali and Via Torino -- close enough for convenience, but far enough for quiet). The Metro and bus lines of interest are also just around the corner. It's walking distance (easy) to Stazioni Termini (train from the airport and to other destinations in Italy). There are only six rooms, but thankfully, they are working on expanding to a connecting set of rooms, and possibly further in the future. That is a good thing, because more people deserve to experience their wonderful hospitality. On future trips to Rome I wouldn't stay anywhere else, as long as there is a room available at Rezidenza Cellini. What would be the point?!
