Loved this hotel! Location is less than a 5 minute walk from Piazza Repubblica where there is a Metro stop that will take you everywhere. We arrived at Termini Station from Venice and just walked to the hotel. Our room at Cellini was the nicest and biggest one compared to the other hotels we've stayed at during our Italian trip. My husband loved the free WIFI and Sky Satellite TV (lots of American shows). Service was excellent! Barbara, AJ, Roberto and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast is served daily at 7:30am but since we had a few days of early tours, they opened the breakfast room before 7am just for us! They had a good selection of breads, cheeses, meats, fruits, juices, teas and of course, the capuccino! One night when we were too tired to go out for dinner, we asked if there was a take-out pizza place nearby. They asked us what we wanted and insisted on picking up the pizza themselves! I'm truly impressed! You only get this kind of service in small, family-owned hotels where they treat you like one of their own.

The rooms are so clean and the hotel is so comfortable. The staff is so helpful and friendly...probably the best hotel staff I have ever encountered! The only slightly negative thing I have to say about this hotel is the pillows, they are not very comfortable. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We spent 5 nights in mid-May, Some in a double and some in a jr suite. The suite is larger and has a jetted tub. Both have bidets which are standard in Italy. The double has a fine shower and was quieter since it faced the interior courtyard. We agree with and don't need to repeat all the prior reviews. However, if you are seniors, Rome is not so walkable, particularly if it is hot. Many Rome hotels have no easy access to public transit. Residenza is a few minutes walk to bus and subway. Particularly if you are going cross town to the Vatican the subway is a 1 euro bargin and gets you there in 10 minutes. Also, the security is better than in many hotels, You have to be buzzed in or use your key. At night you also have to be buzzed in at the front outside door. It all adds up to a fine and,for Rome, reasonably priced place to stay.
And, while it is cheaper to take the train from the airport and walk from the station to the hotel, after a long flight nothing beats bing picked up at the airport and driven to the front door in a Mercedes. Its more than worth it!

Planned our trip well in advance and kept checking the comments on the Cellini, it was indeed everything that was written and promised, beautiful, exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated. The Junior Suite was spacious. The staff was helpful and warm...stay there! You won't be disappointed.

Residenza cellini is located on a small quiet side street, very close to Piaza Republica and its Metro station. The Hotel is on the 3rd and 5th floor of a 19th century building, in which there are other small hotels. It has a typical quaint, italian metal cage lift found in buildings of this age.

The staff were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was one of the junior suites. It was very spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a most welcoming jacquzzi, essential for tired feet after a day of sight-seeing.

Rome is a small city and everything is walkable, but the closeness of the metro station, and bus stop outside make it easy to get everywhere, including the Vatican, by public transport.

There is a Warner Brothers Cinema on the Piazza Republica, which shows one or two films in english (without subtitles) 3 times a day. Most convenient if they are showing Angels and Demons, with the first church, Santa Maria della Vittoria just round the corner.

We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to family and friends.
