“Great location, good room size. but, REALLY bad, lack of sun light”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2009

Hotel is an excellent location that was one of the attractive items made me to book this hotel along with the roof top restaurant.

Having arrived the though these items are true, couple of things really annoyed me which is making me to give an average rating.
(1) lack of sun light in the room. I don't know what's the building regulations are like in Italy. But, we were in a double room in 3rd floor of a 7 story building. But the building outside our room window is barely 3 feet away, blocking the whole sun light. Hence we couldn't get up in the morning without the wake up call, though that's manageable; there was no way of hanging in the room any time after 9am, which was annoying.
(2) Though it said, room is air-conditioned, they stop air-condition every day between 10am and 12noon. If you happened to stay in the room during that time, it gets really unpleasant due to hot temperature this time of the year in Italy.
(3) Though they have the roof top garden, their menu is no better than a standard Italian restaurant, but much higher.
(4) Breakfast really annoyed me as there was no toast( instead they had pre-packed long life snack tests sold similar to Tescos). There is no Croissant, replaced with soup breads, which is so hard.
(5) brochure said that hotel include a WiFI. But, when I uses, for every day, they charges 20Euros, which is a rip-off

“Great Rome Location”

First trip to Rome and loved the location. Close to Termini Train Station and many sites. Took the train to Florence one day (delightful side trip) and then back to the airport on the way home. Buy tickets in the machines. Took a bus trip to Naples/Pompeii, long day but worth it. Recommend rest. accross the street from Hotel, Ristorante Fulvimari. Nice people and good food. Best meal we had was at Ristorante Abruzzi, Via del Vaccaro 1, near the Trevi Fountain (Angolo Piazza) Very hard to find but great family owned rest. for over 40 yrs. Great wine bar near Piazza Novonno is the Cul De Sac Bar. 1000 bottles of wine, also great wine bar near Colleseum, Carvour 313. Romans were very laid back and very helpful. Roof Top Garden at Hotel is nice for breakfast and late night bar (open til 12) Desk clerks were not very friendly. Hotel was clean and great for travelers. Breakfast was sufficient to get you going in the morning. No fruit or anything healthy. Eat gelatto every day, you will not regret it.

“great hotel for a city break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2009

I was a bit worried about the previous reviews of this hotel, but we had absolutely no problems with it. Our room was a great size and very clean and the staff were always friendly to us. The air con worked fine and although it was a little noisy outside, the window shutters helped a lot and for a city centre location, it's expected and you can't complain. It was really close to the termini station and metro and easy to walk to all the main sights. The best bit was without doubt the great rooftop garden and bar which was really nice in the evening. However if you do use the termini or trains to the airport be warned you have to get your tickets stamped or they will fine you 50 euros, and there are no signs, and nobody told us we needed to when we bought the tickets, very annoying! So watch out for that.

“Rome Hotel Diana”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2009

Possibly one of the worst hotels I have stayed in,there was no safe in the room, the lift was always out of order and the staff were the rudest I have ever encountered.
There was avery lazy approach to everything, but unfortunately we encountered problems with our booking and we found the staff no help whatso ever.
The roof garden is very pretty which is the only positive thing you could say but really could do witha bit of a spring clean.
As for the breakfast it was horrible full of sugar and fats, not healthy one bit even the fruit juice and the cereals were full of sugar, no fresh fruit,no fresh bread....simply not enough of anything. The less said about this place the better we moved after the first night so that will really tell you.

“Hotel Diana has plenty of postive features to offer to its customers.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2009

Hotel Diana is a unique and sophisticated Hotel. As soon as one enters the Hotel you can instantly feel the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are always happy and keen to help, regardless of the enquiry being big or small. What complements the Hotel, is the free mouth watering breakfast! Yum Yum!!!
