clean and excellent value for money. breakfast was a bit monotonous with toast and a sweet croissant on offer every day.
Area around was covered in graffitti and it was a little disconcerting stepping over drunks in the street. however it was only a 15 minute walk to the colloseum and about 45 minute walk to the vatican. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful which was a relief compared to the often surly and unhelpful attitude in the more tourist orientated areas.
There was an excellent restaurant nearby Taverna St Anna. The food was fantastic and very good value for money. three course meal for two and all the wine you could drink for 67 euros. All in all it was an excellent base to explore Rome from.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel in Feb 2005, we both work in the hotelbusiness and we have really enjoyed it in this hotel.
The staff was really nice,
Its really worth what you are paying for!

The owner was very rude. A forigner receptionist wanted to make me pay for my room twice, giving me hard time. The room is terrible: 2 mX 1 m...just unbelievable. I hated to go back to my room every night. The breakfast was so funny .... not enough for a 5-years-old child.

We - 3 Persons - have been 3 nights sept. 30. to oct. 3. at hote ducale, rome - statione termini -. This is the 2nd house of hotel ducale.
This hotel is only on a 5th floor direkly opposite from statione termine and it can be reached from airport by shuttle to statione termini very easily.
It has only a few rooms and a small reception together with the breakfast area, but o.k.
Staff is friendly an speak well english. Roms are o.k., big enough and clean. Breakfast o.k. If you pay cash anstead credit card then you receive 5 % discount on prices which agreed. So far a good hotel for a short stay.

I agree. The location to the train station and collesium were great. For the price we paid the room was sufficient. After all, we were did not travel (from America) to Rome to spend the day in a hotel room.
