This hotel is a gem of a find value wise. It is within walking distance to most major tourist attractions. The hotel is basic but clean however the historical aspect to this hotel more than compensates. The staff were helpful and courteous. There any plenty of good value cafes and bars nearby. We used the two day tour bus which is great for seeing Rome at your own pace and leisure. You can walk as much as you want or simply hop on the tour bus. Overall an excellent hotel, one I would definitely use again.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location was great (5 minutes from the Termini station), the room was clean, spacious, soundproofed and air conditioned. We also had a proper bathroom as opposed to just a showeroom. The staff were also helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommed this hotel.

great small hotel near the train station. Was easily able to walk to hotel...near metro stops.

We were able to walk to colleseum (15 minutes) vatican (40 minutes).

Nice, clean rooms...Quiet (on the side of the hotel) Hallway was a bit noisy when people walked down the wood floors.
Free computer to use, so that was great to check email.
Breakfast was decent.
Room was smaller, but certainly big enough. Shower was also small. But, hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful

Great small hotel in a good location. Close to the railway station, metro and bus. There are many good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good and you could get both coffee or made to order espresso. They are short on front office staff, but the person there was always able to answer our questions and help us with where to go. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in this price range.

We stayed here for 3 nights (August 2 to 5, 2007). We found it was clean and easy to walk everywhere and see the sights. The hotel was easy to get to from Tuscany. Straight in off the A1. We dropped our car off at the Avis dealer a block away and decided to take the express train back to the airport and this worked out very well. The driving in Italy was crazy and we were glad to return the car!!!! The train station is a short 7 minute walk. We purchased our tickets the day before and simply walked onto the express train in the morning of our flight. This was the way to do it! No fuss or car return problems. Avis was great as there is no fee for returning the car to another location. I found this a grand hotel. It is nicely decorated and we appreciated the free internet access. Breakfast was quite suitable. We were looking for a triple room (traveling with our 21 year old daughter) and this was a very good deal. Our room was on the courtyard and was very quiet. We had a "stay for 3 and pay for 2" deal, so it equalled out to about 130 Euros a night. This was a good deal for Rome in August. We ate at some lovely places within walking distance. The hotel staff was helpful and especially the staff on the main door. My only disappointment was certainly not the hotel, but rather not being allowed to enter the Sistine Chapel as my arms were bare (no shawl). I am still upset about this. Other than that, we saw a lot of Rome in 3 days.
