Our first visit to Rome and loved the city, it's amazing!
Everyone is different in what they want from a hotel but in our case on this trip we wanted something central and at a good price. We weren't dissapointed. After a bit of a struggle to find it, due to my poor map reading skills I must admit we arrived at about 11pm. The hotel was situated on a quiet (well quiet for Rome) back street which suited us well.
We had a nice friendly welcome and made our way to our room. It wasn't the biggest room ever but plenty big enough for us and we weren't there for the room! The bathroom didn't have a window so had a bit of a musty smell but it was clean. But again the hotel wasn't the most expensive so you take the rough with the smooth.
In the morning they offered a good continental breakfast and the service was good too. Although it did sometimes get a little crowded.
The friendly guy on reception had been replaced by the most misserable guy in the world, whether he is still there or not I don't know but he really didn't enjoy his job. But not being easily offended I just found it ammusing!
We spent 3 nights there and the rooms were quiet at night and the beds compfy enough. The position of the hotel within 10 mintues walk of the major sites its the massive factor in choosing it. With so much to see in such a small amount of time being in the thick of it really helped. But the hotels position on a back street meant once you'd finished your day you really felt like you'd left it all behind.
There are some nice little places to eat around and about as well and if you investigate them it might well save you a fortune!
I would love to go back to Rome sometime and would consider this hotel again as a definate option!
