Hotel Julia is in a great location. It is close to the metro, buses and favorite sights but it is on a side street (quiet). I only needed to stay one night. I was able to throw my bags down after traveling from a 7 day stay in Assisi. I booked the hotel knowing that I wanted to make it to the Spainish Steps to see the Pope for the Immaculate Conception and on a budget.
The front desk was helpful, offering a map of Rome and a bottle of water.. The Spainsih Steps were just a few blocks away, alowing me to walk & be part of this event. In addition, I had plans to meet friends at Piazza Navona for dinner later in the evening. I returned to the hotel to refresh and then headed out again for a short, lively walk to the Trevi Fountain & then Piazza Navona. I opted to take a taxi the short ride back to the hotel after dinner wich only cost me 6 euro.
The room wasn't the prettiest or most comfortable but it served my purpose. I also booked knowing breakfast was included. When I woke early (6:30) the front desk offered me cofee but no breakfast because I was too early?? They did arrange a taxi to get me to the airport which arrived on time @ 7.
