I had read the reviews about overbookings when I asrrived in Rome. Arrived after two train journeys in La Fenice (sister hotel) to be told there had been a problem "that morning" with their booking system and so we could not stay. I disputed this with the lady as we had booked over 3 weeks in advance but to no avail. She did not seem to care or understad that if you book onilne based on what rooms you see or the location, you would be upset that your plans are ruined. Eventually a car arrived and transferred us to Quattro Fontane. I have to say our room was fine, but am sure this was because I argued with her and heard her over the phone to the receptionist in Quattro Fontane. She offered to move us back to La Fenice in the morning but on a 2 night stay that is ridiculous especially when you're getting up early to sightsee. On a 3 day stay in Rome, losing over an hour trying to sort out a room, being driven to another hotel, finding your bearings (again) is a complete inconvenience but these people have no conscience about this and are extremely rude!
