“Loved the Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Hotel Sonya is located between two Metro stations so everything in Rome is convenient. Two stops to the Colosseum and four or five to the Vatican. Teenagers loved conquering the Metro. We had two lovely fifth floor rooms, great showers, wonderful breakfast with hot chocolate and special coffee drinks. Wonderful front desk people especially Evan. Don’t stay at a chain hotel when this amazing Roman experience is available.

My hubby & 2 kids (6 & 15) stayed in a quad room for 4 nights. It was a little tight - but hey, we were out pretty much all day except for an hour or so for a siesta, then we pretty much just used the room for sleeping. The breakfast is great, the staff are friendly & helpful, the location was great - walking distance to Termini train station and the metro and many attractions. The beds were very firm, but we have just bought a new softer bed at home so they did seem extra hard. I would stay here again.

We stayed in this motel for a brief stopover in Rome we found the location excellent , you are able to walk to most of the top attractions , the Colosseum a easy stroll away . The room was clean , comfortable and quite . Breakfast was included and a good variety of choice . The staff were helpful and spoke enough English to be able to communicate well. The bathroom was large and well equipped , bedroom big enough for 2 people to move around in . Excellent value for money , we stayed Saturday , Sunday nights in May .

Great hotel and great location! We enjoyed our stay here and the friendly staff! The rooms were clean and everything was very nice. Very helpful and friendly staff! The breakfast was good although I would have liked a little more variety. The hotel had satellite tv that we could not figure out. Overall it was a great place to stay and was a good central location for everything.

Booked on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews and wasn't disappointed. The room was nice and clean, with a very reasonably priced minibar and good, firm twin beds. The included breakfast was surprisingly good, free wifi worked really well and the location is very handy - close to the railway station as well as many of the major attractions. I'd be surprised if you can find a better hotel in Rome around this price.

My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We found that the bed was a bit firm for our liking, but the room had great amenities. Amazingly our room had a small fridge and a stovetop, which we didn't use, but neat nonetheless. The room also had a safe, which is always handy, and it was as clean as the finest hotels. The breakfast was very nice, especially because it is included. The location is great, just a few blocks away from Tremini Train station and another metro stop as well. One important thing to note: if you are crazy enough to drive in Rome, the hotel is in a ZTL zone, and you have to call the hotel in advance if you plan to bring your car into the zone. Don't show up and ask for it - it's too late at that point.

The hotel is located in the Ancient part of the city, within walking distance of many attractions. It is a classic three-star European hotel with a small lobby and quaint breakfast area. Our room was very small by American standards but it was clean and comfortable. The European breakfast was more than ample with plenty of choices. Use the microwave to warm your choices if you want.

The Hotel shares space with apartments used by local residents including the small but practical elevator.

The staff was very helpful in finding excellent nearby restaurants and was very courteous. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others looking for a nice but inexpensive place to stay in Rome.
