We stayed at this hotel twice during our month vacation in Rome. We had three different rooms over the course of the stay. When we first arrived we found that our reservation had been cancelled by our booking company. We were very upset since we did not want to spend the day looking for a new hotel. Valentina immediately assured us that she would find us a room in the hotel and the next day we would be moved to a larger one. We were grateful for the small but adequate room for the first night. The next morning we were transferred to a very nice large space on the fourth floor. For our second visit, we found that the room we had requested was still occupied by the guests who arrived a few days before us. Again we we were given a nice room and then transferred by the hotel to the larger room we requested. What is so very nice about this hotel is the following: the staff is very, very helpful. Everyone we encountered from Valentina, Flavia and Yodit in reception to Pita who graciously presented our breakfast each morning to Francis who lugged our suitcases up the stairs could not have made our stay more pleasant. The breakfast and sitting room has a rich ambiance. The breakfast is very nice. Cappuccino if you like, breads, cakes, cereals, meats, juices, etc. In the evening, cookies! You will get free internet and find free drinks in your room's mini bar. One of the nice amenities is the hotel supplies you with a crisp white bathroom and yellow terry-cloth slippers to hang out in. The location here simply can't be beat. It is just a block from the Spanish Steps, in the heart of the fashion district and a short walk to Borghese Park and Art Galleries. There are lots of restaurants in the area. Now for a few tips. There aren't any elevators. The hotel rooms are on the third and fourth floor of the the building. Francis will carry your suitcases up/down the stairs if you like. (Please be sport and give him a euro or two for doing this.) There are lots of stairs but they are not steep and there are landings in between them. If you hate stairs, have a medical condition or have pain in your legs, knees, etc. this is NOT the hotel for you. Ask for a room away from the reception area since it can be a little noisy there. If you can pay a little more, pop for one of the larger junior suites on the fourth floor. It is very much worth it since the room is about double the size of the regular room. Depending upon the day of the week and the season, it might not be much more.

thank you so much for your positive feedback of your twice experience at Residenza Frattina. We are very happy to learn that you enjoyed your vacation here, from the different kind of rooms to ambience, the location, and especially our availability and kindness, giving you all the help you need. Our rooms are located from the second to the third floor without lift, but, as Frances made with you, there is always someone that will be happy to help our guests. We always try to cuddle our guests, with free minibar, cappuccinos in the mornig and cookies in the afternoon offered in our enchanting breakfast room/lounge, with bathrobe and sleepers, because we want to you to feel like at home.
