Basic, old small hotel, clean, with nice modern bathroom. Approx 50 metres to Rome Railway Termina which was great for overnight. Basic breakfast. Friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommend for a night as we were catching the train to Venice the next morning. No hassles getting cases to, and onto train.
We usually stay in much better and more expensive places but this Hotel suited our needs. Would stay there again for convenience. Was recommended by our friends.
A fair walk to main tourist places but as we had spent time in Rome 2 years ago, it was great to revisit our favourite places again.

  • Liked — Close to the Rome Railway TerminaN
  • Disliked — The old lift

My Husband and I checked into Rimini and handed over our Passports as you do in Italy a pleasant enough man was just fine ( I think he was the Manager).

On our return from sightseeing I had to phone a tour company to confirm a pickup early the next morning - I had no information in the room to tell me how to use the phone (my mobile was out of battery) so I went to Reception to get details and retreave the Passports - another man was now on Reception - a very rude man - he asked what my Room No was and heaven forbid I said the wrong one - he told me I could not possibly be staying at Rimini - I assured him I was - he marched me over to another section where he called out to people to see if they recoginised me (of coarse they did not) still abusing me - apparently another Hotel uses some rooms on certain floors - I pointed to where my Passports were and he handed them to me with no apology.

We were to stay just one night on this occasion but were returning after a 2 night trip to Sorrento - I thought great.

Even so, the Hotel itself was good - the rooms sufficient - and on our return were given a lovely room on the 5th floor with a balcony - I only saw the rude man once and did not have to deal with him.

All other staff were lovely expecially the man on the desk when we returned for our second visit.

Breakfast was good and fresh coffee made to your liking.

We were leaving to go to Tuscany by train so we needed to be near Termini - good location just at the end of the street - we did not see of have any trouble in this area what so ever and felt safe walking around in the evening.

I would stay at Rimini again and my only wish would be not to encounter the "very rude man" again.

  • Liked — Our room had a balcony/courtyard - that was great
  • Disliked — The rude man on reception

I Stayed in Rimini November 07 and found it to be good value for what you pay. The rooms are fine, better than what we expected, compared to other places around Rome that are double in price and very dodgy.
It is very central being next to the main train station, we even walked to the Colosseum, which is quite a walk but good exercise.
We found the staff to be nice enough, you can get some poor hotel staff around Europe. I would say Rimini is a good stop over place. If you want to spend 2-3 days exploring Rome and then move on to another destination i don't think you could better, being so close to the train station.

  • Liked — Price, Location
  • Disliked — I know i said location is great but it is still dodgy in Rome

You never know what you are going to get when you book over the Net, but we were happy this time.
The hotel is literally 50 metres from the railway station, but far enough away from the really heavy foot and road traffic. There was some slight noise in the morning but the double glazed windows and shutters deflected most of it.
The bathroom was big and clean with a spa bath and jet shower. The room (408) was spacious, clean and well appointed enough that we re-booked for the over nighter we had to do in Rome before we had to fly out of Italy. We were warmly welcomed.
As previously mentioned by other guests, the breakfast is excellant. The location is perfect for exploring all of Romas' main attractions in 1 day, or more. I didn't feel intimidated by the area immediately around the hotel at night. There is a supermarket in the Railway Station (downstairs), and internet stalls close by. I must mention that I too, slept in the hardest bed of my life. But, I did sleep. And the one time there was a problem with the electrics, someone came within 20 minutes to check on it.

  • Liked — Location, big, bright cheery room
  • Disliked — the hard bed

Just returned from Rome and stayed at the Rimini with my daughter and two friends. Within one-half block of the train station where you can catch a train to Pompeii or to Fiumicino, so it is very handy. We had a room with twin beds on the fifth floor(maybe our sixth) with a lovely balcony, and our friends were next door in a larger nicer room. The walls are upholstered and the rooms were spotlessly clean. A more modern decorating scheme and some modern lighting and art would have helped the appearance, but the breakfast was great and plentiful. (Better than an 18 euro breakfast we had elsewhere) Not the most charming neighborhood, but convenient for transportation with good trattorias within walking distance. Good value for the price
