My Husband and I checked into Rimini and handed over our Passports as you do in Italy a pleasant enough man was just fine ( I think he was the Manager).
On our return from sightseeing I had to phone a tour company to confirm a pickup early the next morning - I had no information in the room to tell me how to use the phone (my mobile was out of battery) so I went to Reception to get details and retreave the Passports - another man was now on Reception - a very rude man - he asked what my Room No was and heaven forbid I said the wrong one - he told me I could not possibly be staying at Rimini - I assured him I was - he marched me over to another section where he called out to people to see if they recoginised me (of coarse they did not) still abusing me - apparently another Hotel uses some rooms on certain floors - I pointed to where my Passports were and he handed them to me with no apology.
We were to stay just one night on this occasion but were returning after a 2 night trip to Sorrento - I thought great.
Even so, the Hotel itself was good - the rooms sufficient - and on our return were given a lovely room on the 5th floor with a balcony - I only saw the rude man once and did not have to deal with him.
All other staff were lovely expecially the man on the desk when we returned for our second visit.
Breakfast was good and fresh coffee made to your liking.
We were leaving to go to Tuscany by train so we needed to be near Termini - good location just at the end of the street - we did not see of have any trouble in this area what so ever and felt safe walking around in the evening.
I would stay at Rimini again and my only wish would be not to encounter the "very rude man" again.
