We just got back from Rome a week ago, our time there was great. We were very happy with our hotel staff, the owner and sons take great pride in serving their guest and suggesting area things to do and places to eat. They felt like family. The closest site to the hotel is the "Colosseo" and on our first day we walked there. All the other sites can be reached after you walk there or you can take tram #3 a block away from the hotel that will take you there and to some other sites, we also took the Metro which is about 4 or 5 blocks away. The area is very safe, at first it may not look safe due to graffitti on the buildings, but we walked at night and during early morning and it felt real safe. The breakfast was caffe latte, juice, croissants, rolls. Nothing fancy but we really enjoyed the way Carlo served it with the frothy milk in the italian coffee it was my favorite while in Rome. We had a great time and felt welcomed. One thing that happen when we arrived they didn't have a room for us but assured us that we would be taken to another hotel, they walked us around the block and checked us in, it was very nice and clean too and we enjoyed the fact that we got to stay at two different hotels while in Rome, it was a nice treat. The rooms are small, a double is two twin beds pushed together. The bathroom had marble floors and very clean. All in all it was a great value and I would stay there again!
