Well..... Our hotel journey started 150 steps at the bottom of the staircase next to a wooden box attached to a rope with iron bars around it for 'support'! Because none of us trusted the 'lift' we all used the stairs.... all 34 of us.... 150 stairs.... with our luggage.... ya so upon our arrivals to the rooms we noticed our 'mini bar' was an empty plugged out fridge and our safe.... was soo safe... that it didnt open.... however there was a hole you could pop your money into.... you just couldn't get it out again... The blankets looked like they had been in the hotel since the 30's and covered in moths... which funnily enough, made us all have some sort of allergic reaction and we all got colds while staying there! The bed was broken, the shower was broken, the toilet seat was broken! There were magnificant views... of.. men working hard....*no pun intended*.... and they were happy with audiences of young girls! The restaurant downstairs was lovely, however i would strongly advise you against this neighbourhood if you have: young children, are against mna sraideanna, or any type of passing of materials (illegal or not so) and i would also strongly advise: looking out the windows at night time, and leaving a child watch the television unsuppervised! However, Rome itself is a gorgeous place, its well worth the visit and i wish to return again soon!
