the Pantheon hotel is in a peaceful and privileged location (The pantheon is 1feet by walk), just a couple of minutes walk from the trevi fountain and navona square
In the small street where you can find a lot of tratorie, yummy gelati, pizzerie, bars and bicycle rentals.
the hotel is like a roman home nice room, lobby and internet point!

Have just spent a really fantastic few days at the hotel pantheon. Staff were all very nice and very helpful. Had booked a double room and was very happy to be given a suite on the top floor, huge room very clean. location of the hotel is perfect for all the sights, a very easy walk to all the main sights. The lady on the reception was so nice and helpful and was always full of ideas for places to go. This hotel is well worth a visit. One last point ,went to the restaurant IL BARROCCIO which is just down from the hotel for a meal on the first night BIG MISTAKE service was so bad,so slow we almost gave up and left [ i wish we had] the staff were so rude and did not want to know. The food ok nothing to write home about, and to top the lot when the bill came they they had over charged us by a lot. Do not eat here there are many better places to eat in rome. Restaurant ACQUISTO which is right turn out of the hotel keep going until you get to the piazza di pietra its at the far end, food and service very good, fantastic wine list.

We travelled from Australia and this was our first stop of our 6 week holiday. We had booked a different hotel through an agency to find it was filthy and horrible. So we were stranded and walked into a friendly receptionist that gave us a great rate for two double rooms (that had been renovated) for 4 nights. They were lovely and clean and character filled (ie wood beam ceilings). The buffet breakfast was in a room with handpainted walls and was delicious, great coffee, boiled eggs, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, cakes etc
Overall we could not fault our stay. The location is ideal and we could walk to everything and there are lovely shops, gelato and resturants right outside the door. Looking at past reviews it appears that this hotel has been renovated after 2007. If we wer ever to return to Rome we would stay here without a doubt.

My husband and I are from Australia and stayed for four nights at this hotel at the beginning of a guided tour through the southern part of Italy and then one more night at the end of our month long trip. We found the staff at fron desk obliging, helpful and well spoken in English. The room - Diamond suite was large with an upstairs but old bathroom, then we stayed in another room on 1st floor which had a Versace bathroom and very warm cosy feel to the room overlooking the front entrance. This was a little noisy as there is a nightclub across the road but the whole hotel is so centrally located we loved it. The front concierge Hector arranged for a tour of Vatican city for us and taxi from airport with minimum of fuss. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to anyone. Great coffee shop across the road from the hotel too.

We - two ladies in our sixties - stayed in rooms on the first floor. Room 105 is small, dingy and opens on to a brick wall; the bathroom was much nicer than the bedroom. Room 102 is bigger, overlooks the narrow street which is packed with restaurants and is very noisy until about 1 a.m. Then from 5 a.m. the noise starts up again with dust carts etc. However, the staff were very friendly and efficient, the breakfast good, the bathrooms excellent and the LOCATION FANTASTIC. You can walk to all the main sights, there are plenty of affordable trattoria and pizzeria within a stone's throw. If you book on a high floor, or splash out on a top grade top floor room, you'll be fine. But avoid Room 102 LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

  • Liked — excellent locaton and easy walking on level ground
  • Disliked — unimaginative and slightly dingy bedrooms
