We only ever stay in 4 star hotels and couldnt believe the price we got this gem of a hotel for!!!

Really excellent rooms (very roomy and in immaculate condiition) plus a good buffet breakfast, location was ok being a 10 minute bus journey from the main attractions (you can walk it in 20 minutes). We also popped in to the Modern Art Gallery next to the adjacent park to see the Genius of Leonardo exhibition which is well worth the visit!

This is a big business hotel but due to the economic downturn is now really geared towards the leisure market with wi-fi internet and a lively bar in the hotel lobby.

well worth the money at a140 Euro a night which is what we paid for a double room.

Very nice hotel, the rooms were impeccably clean and very large (which was very surprising for Europe). The bathroom was very elegant, with a huge tub, it seems like the whole place was recently rennovated. The service was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast wasn't very varied- scrambled eggs, 2 types of cheese, 2 types of cold cuts, some buns, canned fruit and pastries that were very good, but were somehow dry every day. Regarding the location- the hotel is about a half hour walk from the city center (where you can walk about and see everything, no need for transportation in the city). We took a bus every day to the center and back, and walked around over there. I think this 20 minute detour is completely worth the big roms and cheap price. Also, if you're around there, don't eat in a restaurant called La Balestra- this is the definition of a tourist trap- they tried to charge us 2 euros for tap water, and 20% for service! There are plenty of other nice restaurants in the area

When we first arrived at the hotel we were struck by how posh it seemed. It's really beautifully decorated. Our room was a good size and was very clean. We didn't have a view of anything particularly from our window.

We were only bed and breakfast, and ended up only having breakfast in the hotel one morning because it really wasn't great. Hardly any choice. Luckily there is a really good little cafe / bakery across the road where you can sit outside so we breakfasted there.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. On the day of our trip home we had a nightmare in the shape of a taxi strike and the staff at reception tried really hard to get us one and gave us instructions on how to get to the airport. Can't fault the staff at all.

Each day we walked into Rome's centre through Villa Borghese - a lengthy (half hour / 45 mins) but very beautiful walk through the park. Sensible shoes really are needed.

Although it was a nice hotel I think I would recommend staying a bit closer to the centre even if it means paying a bit more.

My family and I visited this hotel while visiting my sister who is studying abroad. The hotel was OK. Nothing really special about it. When we arrived we weren't met with warm welcomes... in fact the staff was kind of "ho-hum" about us being there. We checked in and got to our rooms which again were OK. The bed was very firm and the sheets were scratchy. The room was fairly large, however my parents got a very small and very smelly room. I do have to say the bathroom was great, but they had all the shutter down in all the rooms so you couldn't look out the windows. My room also had a balcony but since the shutters were down (think hurricane shutters) we couldnt enjoy it unless we military crawled under them. The breakfast buffet is OK. They serve cheese, ham, bread and eggs everyday. There is no variation. We ate dinner one night at the hotel and again... it was OK. My BIGGEST complaint was the fact that they hotel is near NOTHING except for the villa borghese. it was a 10 min drive or 30 min public transportation ride to anything that one would be interested in seeing.

All in all, the hotel is just ok. For the price, it is really not worth it. And don't be fooled by the website... it looks NOTHING like that.
