we arrived in Rome but our room wasnt ready so we just left our case there, we came back after a really long but absolutely amazing day to find reception is closed up no lights on no one there which we thought was a bit strange, it was 530pm? Got to the room and it was absolutely freezing we put on the one tiny heater which was there to hopefully warm up the room! The room was big and had a small kitchenette type thing with a two ring hob and a sink, there was a cupboard with a plate and a glass but it was locked oddly enough! So we had no idea why it would be there in the 1st place? I went into the bathroom to have a much needed shower, there was no loo roll, the toilet seat had mould under it, the bathroom cupboard wasnt in good shape doors were about to fall off so didnt dare open it to put things on it..the light on the ceiling was basicly wires and the shower is full of mould, i got in and waited for 10 mins for the hot water, but i could have waited forever so cut my loses and got out, the towels were threadbare and the floor was dusty. Needless to say i was fuming we packed our case and we checked out, the lady at reception had her coat on so we cant have been the only ones suffering from the lack of heating!! I informed her that we were checking out because the room was so foul, yes its only 45 euros but who wants to pay to sleep in filth!!
We left and walked about 100 yards to find Hotel Windrose which i would really reccomend, they are really helpful, loads of advice on hand breakfast included and nice comfy clean rooms.
We had an amazing time in Rome i loved it we were there for my Boyfriends 30th which is on Valentines and we couldnt of had a better time!! AMAZING.
