“Basic breakfast but nice hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Well located near the station which makes life easy. Clean rooms, a bit dated but tats part of the fun I guess.

Breakfast was pretty basic, the bacon was of very low quality.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great restaurant called Agora just around the corner, make sure you check that place out.

We had booked with Avios points (previously Airmiles) so we were concerned what we would get for the points rather than real money. No need for concern at all, this place was just great, and moreover the people working there are as nice and friendly as can be.
For a hotel on a budget, it is what one would expect size-wise; it is not a large building therefore the rooms are compact. (There is a crazy comment earlier about it not having a pool -- where would they put it!!) Saying that, in the room they managed to fit a double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, mini-bar/fridge, desk and chair, plus the bathroom had a full 5-piece bathroom suite, i.e. includes the usual plus a full bath and bidet.
The main plus points for us were the location and cleanliness. Arriving late in the evening via train from the airport, the short walk to/from Termini is a bonus, yet down the side-street it is still very quiet. We slept very well indeed for each of the 4 nights. I read the "hard bed" comments but, like the three bears, we all like our own beds the way they are.
Every afternoon after we returned, we found the room had been cleaned impeccably. Rome can be a rather grubby city (sorry Romans!) but I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.
A super starting point for a City break.
The only little extra I would have liked is that the (already very good) breakfast could have included the option of a cappuccino as well as a simple coffee. Well, this is Italy!

Room Tip: Rooms facing to the sides and back will be quieter, as will rooms away from the lift area.

We stayed here on our honeymoon for 8 nights. The accomodations were good, location is good due to it's proximity to Termini.
The staff was first class! They were courteous, professional, quick and overall very nice people. Dimitri, Giancarlo and Rene were who we saw most often, and they provided excellent service at each interaction.
The breakfast was good, the little courtyard provided an area to wind down after hours on foot and the street is relatively quiet.
I recommend this hotel, especially due to the quality of the staff!

We stayed here for 4 nights recently (booked with lastminute.com). This is a great quality hotel. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the termini station and down a quiet road. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided maps and advice. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained, the only thing was our room was very small and the bed a bit hard. The breakfast was good, there was a good selection of pastries, breads, ham and cheese, as well as scrambled eggs and bacon everyday!
Overall, we had an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good quality base to explore Rome from.

My wife and I just finished 4 nights with the hotel (booked via Priceline). There were many good features along with some negatives:

Pros:
-Excellent location near Termini station, yet still quiet. No street noise at all.
-Excellent continental breakfast (ours came with our reservation)
-Good sized room and CLEAN
-Mini-bar with very reasonable prices
-Friendly and helpful staff
-Free wifi!
-A/C (very important during the summer months)

Cons:
-Walls are a bit thin. We could hear our neighbors quite well. It didn't keep us awake thankfully.
-Beds and pillows are a bit hard, but I believe this is typical of Italy (?). We like hard beds, so we slept well - but it's worth pointing out.
-WiFi was really slow for anything beyond checking email. (at least it was free)

Neutral:
-No iron in the room, but the one they lent us was above-average quality.
-Even with priceline, the cost was sort of high for what we got. This hotel is more like a nicer 3 star rather than a 4-star.

So in the end, there was nothing that would prevent me from coming back, but neither was it so amazing that I wouldn't consider other options.

Our stay was very, very pleasant and very comfortable. The room is very, very clean, roomy including the bathroom, it depends on what room you are assigned. Some rooms are not as big as the other rooms but still roomy because we stayed to this hotel twice after coming back from Paris on the same week. Staff are very friendly and speaks very well English. The air conditioning works very well, the shower works good, there's a refrigerator in the room and hair dryer. Breakfast is very good with a lot of selection. Very accommodating hotel compare to other hotels we stayed from previous European vacation because this hotel let us stay to a three people beds and we are three adults and one child, this hotels also let us store our luggage as we are flying to Paris and we don't want to bring everything with us since we are coming back to this hotel. We are very happy and satisfied with this hotel and definitely book to this room again in the future visits.

Very cosy and nice hotel. Very nice rooms, and the most friendly staff. Just skip the breakfast if it's not included. 12,5 Euros for an average breakfast is really not a good deal. But besides that; a real gem. Tip: Ask for room away from main street, as the windows are old and don't keep the street noise out.
