The night we arrived to the hotel we were supposed to get quadruple room which was stated we've got...
If you can imagine motel 6 smallest room with queen size bed, and in addition to that two!! twin beds that were squeezed together and a living space of 1 foot between those beds, you would have a very clear idea of Panama Garden Hotel rooms that are located on the 5th floor! Add to that temperature of 94 dergees inside and you have it complete.
I was slighlly puzzled when we were offerred to keep our luggage in the lobby for the duration of our stay, but the minute we've got to the elevator that doesn't allow more than 2 people at a time due to its size and the space in the room, I came to understanding of that offer.... I have never been claustrofobic, but I think I have a better understanding of it after been in that elevator.
Airconditioner wasn't working, bathtub was leaking every drop of water to the floor, the bathroom smelled of sewer....
It was awfull!!!!!
After multiple complaints to the front desk, we were moved, on our last day, to the room that you see on the website............
I've been to many places and hotels, and I would say that this hotel with its "hospitality" is eliminated from my places of interest forever. I like to get what I am paying for.

WOW! I was impressed for a three star hotel; this hotel was better than most 4 stars hotel we stayed during our trip. We stayed at this hotel one night in a triple room. This hotel had new stylish and trendy furniture in the lobby and was nested in a quiet upscale residential neighbourhood. The room was very clean with mini bar at price that was reasonable. Satellite TV, Room service with good menu at very reasonable price. The room was newly decorated. The Breakfast was good.
The staff was helpful and spoke perfect English.
We stayed at this hotel at the end of our trip and were really glad we did as we were extremely tired.Great experience.
The Hotel is not located on the Subway line. Its one bus away from Termini (Bus 86 or 92).Its a little bit of a walk with luggage from the bus stop to the hotel but the hotel makes it all worth it!
I would really recommend for couple looking for a quiet time.

  • Liked — Its romantic touch
  • Disliked — Location is not perfect but hotel and calm makes it all worth it...

My husband and I loved our stay! Our room was just as it was pictured on the website. The front desk staff spoke English and went above and beyond. And although it was a bit far from the main attractions, a 10 minute bus ride took you to the center of all the action. The bus stop was a convenient 5 blocks away. There was free wireless internet in the rooms and the breakfast was typical Italian...breads, cheese, turkey, yogurt, some fruit, and coffee.

The only drawback for us was that they advertised an "American Restaurant ." Well, that restaurant consists of a room service menu with pizza, pasta, and drinks. There is no restaurant to sit and order. However, if you sit outside in the garden, they will bring the food out to you. It's more like a hidden snack bar than a restaurant.

I asked the receptionist about shuttle service to the airport and she told me that there was a flat fee of 58 euros. However, I did research in the Internet and found a service for as low as 45 euros. Try Rome Shuttle Limousine.

Overall, a great stay in a parklike area.

This is a lovely old hotel with a great staff, nice rooms (ours had a small balcony overlooking a garden), and very good breakfast.
It is a little farther away from some of the great parts of Rome, like ancient Rome and the Vatican, but the tradeoff is a larger room for less money, a truly wonderful staff, and a more peaceful location, near beautiful parks. We would walk in the AM when it was still cooler and we were energetic, then take a taxi back. Since there were four of us, this wasn't even too expensive. I would definitel recommend this hotel for peace-seekers!

The daytime front desk clerk was very good and helpful. The night time staff did not speak any english.
The rooms were not at all like the picture on their website. My room had mildewed walls and the furnishings had seen better days.
The location was okay and within walking distance of the fountain and such.
They offered free airline pick up service which was great, but the driver was leaving as I came out of the bagage area. So I almost missed him. I went directly from the plane to customs to the luggage and didn't waste any time, so I was surprised that he was leaving. Luckily I caught him.
Okay, but I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
