We spent two nights in the Hotel Nord Nuova while in Rome. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and other attractions and is near the main train station.
It is far enough removed from the train station area that we did not feel there were any of the possible problems (pick pockets, etc.) that we heard about in that area.
Our room was very small, but it was comfortable. We were at the end of a hallway, which was nice because it cut down on any possible noise. The hotel is in a fairly busy area, but we did not hear any noise from the street during the nights.
The hotel did not have a restaurant on the premises, but there were plenty of cafes and even upscale dining within walking distance.
The property does have a fantastic bar on the top of the roof. The prices were reasonable, and the open-air setting was great. It had great views of the city lights.
I used the wireless internet in the hotel both nights, which was expensive (at least 10 euro for 24 hours). I also had some problems with the connection, but they were eventually resolved.
Overall, this was a good hotel at a reasonable price in the city.
