Hotel is not in a good area of the city, but in the center, & very close to the train & bus stations. It's convenient & close to all Rome attractions. Hotel is situated on a busy street & rooms facing this street are very noisy. Rooms are so run down, old & dusty. Tasteless, basic decoration. Cheap furniture, bedding & bathrooms. Breakfast is very basic with limited selection. Waitresses do not speak and understand English. Pictures of the rooms are misleading. Front desk staff was friendly & spoke good English. Very interesting interior of the restaurant which belongs to the sister hotel and where they serve breakfast for 2 hotels. If you complain they will change a room for a bigger size.

Great room and hotel but pack earplugs! Way too noisy outside.

My wife and I pricelined this hotel for $110 dollars. We thought by getting a 4 star in a good location, we couldn’t lose. We did. While the hotel is clean, has a large room and bathroom, and is situated in a great spot (close to the train station), it is incredibly noisy. The street below is very loud and it feels like every noise just comes right into the room. Sirens, car horns, cars hitting potholes, etc. Expect to hear it all! Bring some sleeping medicine and your noise-cancelling headphones. You will need it if you stay in room #209. Thank goodness we were there for only one night. The next day we were on a train and were able to catch-up on our sleep. What a disaster.

(I should add that my we are in our thirties and have traveled Europe extensively. We have grown to expect/accept more traffic noise than at home. This hotel, however, was too noisy.)

The location was fabulous. Extremely close to the Roma Termini and we were easily able to catch the tourist buses (hop on- hop off). The hotel was very neat and clean. Room was very spacious and bathroom was great. Everything was neat and clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The Breakfast was decent. In short we had a great time.

Strangely I booked to stay at a different hotel, however for reasons which are still not clear to me my reservation was changed to the Hotel Atlantico. I couldn't be happier about this! The hotel is in a perfect location right next to Termini. Thus you have access to the Metro, buses and open top tour buses as well as being able to walk to all major attractions. The Metro in Rome will not take you into the Centro Storico but buses do. Reception will tell you the numbers you need. We found them very easy to use and useful, as at 6.5 months pregnant I wasn't keen on walking far.
Breakfast at this hotel was great - a good choice; fruit, yogurt, cereals, bread and pastry products, eggs, cheese, ham, and a couple of cooked items. Amazingly they also do a good cup of tea (how British am I?)!
The staff on reception and the porters were extremely helpful and friendly.
The only slight downside was that we had a room facing onto the street and there was traffic noise. Take ear-plugs or ask for a room at the back.
We loved the Art Deco decoration!
Also - you need to be aware that you are staying in Rome and therefore you will be paying more for a hotel than other European cities. Accept this and enjoy yourself!

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for three nights and we had a great experience. The room was very clean and big!! The concierge staff was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included and it was very good since eating in Rome can be a little pricey. This hotel is closed to the Termini Station which was very convenient. When we landed at the airport we took the Leonardo Exress to Termini Station. The hotel is just minutes away from the station so you can walk to the hotel. Keep in mind that taking the Leonardo Express can be dissapointing since it did not have air condition and it was packed with people. While in Rome we had the great experience of contacting Angelo Di Mauro which was an excellent tour guide!! He took us to Civitaveccia to take our cruise. When we came back, he picked us up and took us to Pisa and then to Florence where we stayed for five nights. Angelo is fluent in English as well as Spanish which was convenient for us!! I will definetely stay at this hotel again and I will definetely call Angelo so he can take us everywhere!!! You may contact Angelo at [---]. Arrivederci!!
