“Rome break -near the Vatican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Great staff, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, very clean hotel and excellent comfortable beds. Good wifi signal. Very close to the Vatican and metro. Lots to see and do. A bit outside the main centre but preferable to being close to the bus station. Breakfast was ok- various pastries, breads, cereals, fruit although the hot food selection was not particularly hot or of good quality

This hotel was the perfect way to end our honeymoon. We booked three nights, the first night the room was perfect but a bit too noisy and the staff gladly moved us to another room which was even more amazing (and silent). All our things were moved while we were out for the day so we didn't even have to bother with our bags. The gluten free offering at breakfast was the best that we have seen in any hotel.

Stayed here 6 nights in Rome late May. Single room was very small but perfect for one person. My room included a small fridge that had a small bottle of wine, a couple of cans of beer 4 or 5 cans of juice. If I drink the beer and wine and next day there was more. Room was small but excellent quality nice big mirrors nice bathroom hardwood floors nice woodwork work and a nice window overlooking the main street. The front desk was very helpful and they had a very extensive breakfast buffet every morning with lots of choices and options. It was about 3 blocks from the main entrance to the Vatican Museum and close enough walking distance and I never had to worry about taking a cab. Just walked everywhere all day. I would recommend this hotel I didn't get a chance to see the double rooms but it's a nice location close to lots of restaurants and some shopping and a market. Helpful staff English speaking I was very happy.

I stayed 6 nights at the Best Western with my wife and 2 daughters. We booked a "Fashion Suite". The room had a loft with 2 single beds and a double bed downstairs. This was a nice arrangement to allow some feeling a space between the adults and the kids.

The location is pretty good, especially if you are concentrating on the Vatican sights and / or sights right off the Metro lines. The location was not convenient for sights such as the Pantheon, but I guess for any single location you can't be everywhere.

Breakfast was hearty and fine. Nothing special, but with the reasonable price for the room we viewed it as "free".

All in all, a fine place to sleep in a large room (for any major city) for a reasonable price.

I'm glad we found this hotel for our family vacation in Rome. The employees were very helpful and willing to help all the time. The concierge even lent me a wifi hotspot for free. Breakfast was good and my kids loved it. The hotel staff is very friendly and offered us free drinks and snacks. Walking distance to the Vatican and a short taxi ride to the main attactions of Rome. We stayed in the uppermost room with a balcony, the air condition is comfortable enough for that warm summer. Grocery store is a short walk, lots of restaurant choices and there's lots of place to shop souvenirs close to the Vatican. I will definitely recommend this Hotel for families.

Room Tip: Higher floors for more privacy.

We were pleased to find a good hotel that offered us free breakfast every morning, close to the Vatican for our first trip to Rome. The hotel staff was not the friendliest. There were a handful of employees that did bring the smiles and were very helpful. That included Mateo & Elsa in the front desk, they were the only ones that seemed to like their job. The rest didn't seem very interested in answering your question or helping you out.

During breakfast it was hard to keep coffee in our cups as they were pretty busy and they did not allow us to refill our own cups, even though the containers of coffee were just sitting there. The 2 different ladies that would come and refill our mini bar, would give the door a quick knock and just help herself in. She never gave us an opportunity to answer the door. So if you value your privacy, this is a negative. There is not an interior lock to lock your door, you only choice is a chair against the door. There is a safe in the room, but again… the receptionist helped us open it when we had an issue, so there ya go. So overall it was better than we expected as there was many options but little that offered the amenities, like refilling up the mini bar for free every day. We stayed in the Fashion Room. No window, just roof shutters but even like that, you didn't miss a view. Rome has so much to offer. We basically just slept, ate breakfast, showered and slept there. That was perfect and close enough to the Vatican. It was a 5 min walk. Great location with tons of places around to catch a bit to eat no more than a 10 min walk away from everything! Would pick this hotel again. I would just hope the hotel realizes, they need to give the guest the opportunity to answer the door. You can't just knock for a second and then open the door. You may find yourself a surprise on the other side of the door. This was a major negative. There was also construction next door, but that wasn't a huge issue as we were gone most the day sightseeing.

Thank to Mateo for arranging our transportation back to the airport, for helping me out with the computer and for just being kind! We'll never forget your kindness.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Fashion room, good choice for space. Not much of a view if you're looking for t...
