Hotel is very close (100 metres) from main railway station in Rome (Termini) - noise was minimal despite this, even on 2nd floor although was back-facing room. Room was quite basic - great if you just need somewhere to sleep although probably not somewhere to stay in during day. Was clean and quite reasonable. Staff were friendly and spoke good english. There is WiFi but for some reason didn't reach my bedtroom so had to use hallway/reception area. Breakfast was good spead of cold buffet. If staying in Rome again would look what else is available but think for this price, this hotel is good value and would consider staying here agian.

Just returned from an 8 day stay at this hotel. Lived up to most of the reviews; clean room, breakfast & great location. Pricy for this hotel. Under no circumstances should you use their recommended tour lines. GREEN LINE TOURS IS THE WORST! STAY AWAY FROM THEM. The room was on the hotel Remi side & both need a makeover. My room faced the backside of an apartment building. There was construction taking place nextdoor so if you are a lite sleeper, I do not recommend room 101. The cleaning staff, all women, were wonderful, smiled always & greeted you each time they saw you & all speak English. The men have that european attitude about women. Breakfast was good but it sure could use some american food. There was WiFi but for two days it was difficult to connect. The net also had a special that if you had an extended stay you would get a choice of hotel transfer to the airport but it was never validated. I would use Stefano from Roma Cabs. As an added note..The hotel desk was not very accomodating to single female travelers and asking questions seemed to be a chore more than a service..male attitudes in Italy. Overall, I would stay there again and recommended this hotel. Bring a clock with you, as none in the room. P.S. the tv remote did not work and only CNN was avaialable for English speakers.

Stayed at the Hotel Corot in July 2009 with my husband. The hotel is located about one block (5 minutes walk from one of the entrances) to Rome's Termini central station. Staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived around mid-day. Their elevator is very small - fortunately we had no luggage. The room is exactly what we expected for what we paid - a clean room with double bed, AC, clean but very small bathroom with soap and gel for toiletries, a TV, desk, bedside lamps, spare pillows and duvet in closet, clean soft towels, etc. We didn't watch TV so cannot comment on that but used the awesome location within Rome to visit all the sights we wanted to within a weekend.
From Rome's Termini station both metro lines run and it's two stations to the Colosseum on one side and about 6 stops to the Otteviano station on the other side (for the Vatican museum and St Peter's), and about half hour by train to the Fiumicino airport.
There are several internet places/ cafes around the hotel and the hotel included a very reasonable breakfast in the price from about 7-10 am - coffee, boiled eggs, pastries, breads, cheese, ham, etc. The juice didn't really taste like juice and the fruit was canned but otherwise it was good and filling.
We are not sure if this hotel and the Hotel Rimini share rooms? as we walked up to our room past the Hotel Rimini's reception.
We didn't try it but the hotel advertises free wifi for their guests. The hotel held onto our bags the day we checked out until afternoon when we came to pick them up prior to leaving for the airport.
Overrall it was a fantastic hotel for the price and the location and I would stay there again. We got a deal of flights and hotel (<£200 each) through British Airways.

Just perfect, about 50m from main train station and really comfortable hotel. Breakfast is good and the coffee....as it taste only in Roma. You can from there visit the all city by foot, and need to use the public transportation just to the airport. Staff is just perfect. So I would definitively recommend this hotel!!!

Having stayed in Rome several times now, it is always a struggle to find a decent standard hotel for euro100 or less for a double. We wanted to stay next to Termini as we were arriving by train. Also we needed a single, a double, a twin, a triple and a quad as we were a family travelling together.

This fitted the bill perfectly and was really about 50 metres from Termini.

Small rooms - most of the hotel rooms in Rome are small, not big enough for me to do my yoga stretches. Really nice buffet breakfast. Staff were happy to recomend close resturants etc. Shower only - no bath. No tea or coffee making facilities. Couldn't open the shutters to let daylight in. Climate temp is controlled by the reception - just call.

Hotel has a small lift (which it shares with Hotel Rimini), and we found we used the stairs all the time as the elevator was constantly in use.

Free wifi (although we had a problem on our floor one day and used the wifi in the lobby instead).

At Termini is lots of shops including a supermarket - just down the escalator to the left.

Happy to recommend this hotel for good value close to the station.
