Location to train station is about 70m. and an easy walk with bags. Very accessable to The Red Bus Service for your on/off circuit tours. The service was friendly and helpful and when I made an error with the safe, they helped me immediately. The room was clean and sheets changed daily, but the bed was hard and the pillows flat. The bath clothesline wouldn't extract and the basin taps were stiff to operate. The bath shower was confined, with a curtain which was annoyingly clinging to the body, whilst showering. Other bathroom amenities were good.
The breakfast was was good with cereals, fruit, toast and cold boiled eggs, pastries, toppings for toast and coffee & tea provided.
Our room faced the street and with windows closed was still noisey at night. Unfortunately, the walls are to thin and you can hear what 's going on in the other rooms.
Overall, the hotel is a little tired in its presentation, but generally the accommodation for its location is good.

We love the Corot. This place is a great value, and is our ‘go-to’ hotel for Rome. It's just a block from the termini, and it’s quiet bliss from the hustle and bustle of Rome. The Corot shares a building with the Hotel Rimini, ( I think they split the floors), and is old school Rome right down to it’s bird-cage elevator. The rooms and common areas are a little worn, and just as relaxed as you please. I feel very at home at the Corot The guy at the desk has been there for years and is always very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast room is comfortable, and the food is good. The location is less than a block North of the station. We are usually wiped out from travelling when we get to Rome. It’s usually our first stop after flying over from North America. The Corot is a great place to get to for 10 hours of much needed quiet and sleep after arriving in Italy.They have free high speed wifi, with the code from the desk. It’s quiet, comfortable, and there’s no better place to dust off your glamorous-meets-funky Italian fashion for an energizing visit to the Eternal City.

Over many years, I have returned to the Hotel Corot five or six times when in Rome because it is so comfortable, reasonably priced and friendly, with a better than average breakfast for this class of hotel. They have a variety of rooms including some well priced single rooms and very quiet inside rooms. Its relatively quiet location so close to the Termini is most convenient for restaurants and train or bus transportation. There is now a good food and drug store and other shopping on the lower floor of the Termini half a block away.

We usually walk down hill to many of the tourist attractions in the centre of Rome and take the bus back up hill to the Termini and the Corot in the late afternoon. Where ever you wander in Rome you can easily find a bus heading back to the Termini. I have tried other hotels when the Corot is full, some considerably more expensive, however I keep going back to the Hotel Corot where I have been given a friendly welcome and I have always been completely satisfied.

Excellent location, walking distance to train station, subways, restaurants.
Room is comfortable, standard but clean. Bathroom is updated and clean
better than I expected for a small hotel. Not for fussy travellers
