The Hotel is in the middle of a vast empty area surrounded by freeways, huge electrical towers and nothing else. Except for Maria ...who usually works in the late evenings ... all the lobby folks were rude and unprofessional. Girls specially working in the morning are more focused on make ups and having good time with other hotel staffers rather than helping the guests.

If not anything else you must look at the location of this hotel which cannot be any worse. Limited hotel shuttle runs from 7:30AM to 11:00AM and then again from 5:45pm to 10:00PM. Not reliable at all and you can get stuck at the Metro Station ending up paying Euro25 cab fare. There are only 16 seats in the shuttle and to our huge surprise we saw people fight (really fist fights) at the train station to get in to the shuttle. Police were also involved that evening. What a way to treat the hotel guests.

I suggest since you are there in Rome spend a bit more and stay away from here. It does not worth it.

Terrible location. Air-conditioning was not on even tho it was warm for October. Shuttle bus times are limited - no afternoon service. Local bus stop is a distance away. Breakfast buffet runs out of eggs early in the morning. Area is under construction - so there is noise all day.......also near a concert tent....of course a concert was in full sound and fury as we came back late from Rome on the local bus. Music was heard thru our closed windows without the air conditioning........ key lock did not work until after going back to the front desk three times.......

Hotel staff was indifferent to most of our concerns.

I would have no recommendation for this place. Stay away!

Dear Mr. Banzin,
thank you for taking time to bring to our attention your recent experience. We apologize for the inconvenient occured and we sincerely hope that you will give us one more opportunity to welcome you back and to show you that we usually don't cause this kind of uneasiness.
Our Hotel is distinguished for quality and abundance, but can be that you came done in the meantime our staff was preparing again eggs. Maybe that's the reason why there were not eggs.
Rarely rock concerts take place in the near theather and unfortunatly we don't have any authority to stop those.
We apologize one more time. Best Regards

We found this hotel to be just what we needed. We travelled with two very small children and the staff were friendly and helpful (unlike the rest of Rome which seemed to be full of people unwilling to help tourists). The area was a little 'seedy' - but then we found most of Rome to be the same! We never had a problem with the shuttle bus - we always managed to get on. The Metro was fantastic and cheap. We were deposited right out the front of the major tourist attractions within minutes of leaving Ponte Mamalo station. The supermarket near the hotel was a real eye-opener for these Aussies - we had tonnes of fun trying out all the interesting foods we found, we saved heaps of money stocking up on softdrinks and snacks and it was great to get out and be amongst the people who live in Rome. As we had the children, we didn't go out at night, except for a trip to the pizzeria around the corner (delicious)! This hotel might be a problem if you were wanting to tour Rome by night as I imagine taxi fares to the hotel would be very expensive. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful, great coffee too. For a group of travellers (with a double pram) who wanted to save money for spending, this was a perfect retreat. We have recommended it to close friends as a great option for those travelling with children. We would DEFINATELY stay there again (if we're lucky enough to return to Rome!)

  • Liked — The free shuttle to Metro (access to tourist hotspots) and the breakfast
  • Disliked — The area wasn't the beautiful historic Rome we'd imagined, but it was cheerful and felt safe.

We stayed on this Hotel and it was perfect for us! Just a places to drop our suitcases and leave early in the morning and come back to sleep let at night. We were just to get around the city as much as we could with our kids were 3 and 6 and they enjoyed it.
Closed to the subway! And like 20 min. ride to the city.
There were 2 double beds so the four of us shared. Overall I would say this is a great hotel for the price if you are just looking for a place to sleep, shower, have breakfast and take the road till late night. Perhaps not the most convenient if all you want to stay in the facilities, but if you want a clean please to stay, look no more!

Stayed 2 nights, arrived late, thankfully by car as the shuttle finishes at 10:00pm, a desolate area, with many prostitutes working the nearby streets. Hotel itself was as one expects from Holiday Inn Express, modern, clean and very good breakfast by Rome standards, however we did have to change room as the previous occupant had decided to smoke himself stupid, judging by the number of cigarette ends and stench of this dedicated non smoking room. Housekeeping seem to be a law to themselves so when things were taken away like the kettle and tea/coffee, the very helpful duty manager provided a drink from the cafe/bar on the house which was pretty good of him. I understand this is an area that is seeing quite a bit of development, but opening a hotel with such poor local infrastructure and obvious social problems expecting to attract both business and tourist travellers seems a little arogant. The staff do their best but the problems with the neighbourhood mean this will not be a place I shall return to.

  • Liked — spacious clean room (eventually)
  • Disliked — its lousy location
