The Albani Hotel is located off the main thoroughfares of the city. About two blocks. The streets are so narrow and tight that the tour buses couldn't get close. We would have to walk the two blocks or so to get to the hotel.
Other than that, the hotel is quite comfortable and the staff is very professional and alway willing to help in anyway they can.
The rooms were nice, clean and just roomy enough. Nice big bathroom. The view out the window was of the street and a brick wall across from the hotel.

Where to start. The hotel location itself is far from ideal. No close Metro stop, However Bus routes were very frequent. The area in which the hotel is situated is outside the main tourist stops which has both good & bad points. The hotel building is very clean and plush. Very colourful and refreshing interior design. Breakfast buffet was excellent for both choice and quality with very friendly waiting staff. In stark contrast the reception and ground floor staff were some of the rudest I have ever encountered. As a frequent visitor to Europe only in Prague have I ever experienced the abruptness and sheer unhelpfulness of the staff. I cant stress enough the level on which I feel this ruined another wise very enjoyable stay at both the hotel and Rome itself. The rooms were small but you could live with this as they were very clean and of a very high standard. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not. I would stay more central and hope that the staff could crack a smile. To sum up its a business hotel so its not the cheapest room in Rome but they still have no interest in the tourist market.

Hotel Albani is an excellent, well run clean hotel.
The location is only difficult if you cannot think beyond the square. How many of you
who wrote reviews actually live close to your own town's attractions? Is 15 minutes such
a long time to travel to see the wonders of the world? Get real here. The Albani is great value and the location is quite acceptable. And as the smart reviewers mentioned, you can actually feel like a local as the neighbourhood is a real Roman one, without a seething mass of ugly tourists at every turn.

We stayed at Albani for 3 nights in July and the room is very good, the breakfast is excellent but some members on the staff are rude, even we speaking in italian, only the guy at the lobby, during the morning, was friendly. The internet access had problems too.
