Two couples in retirement stayed here in May 2009. Could not afford the club class floors.
Rooms were of good size and comfort but were tatty and not serviced. Smell of smoke within them . Rooms were a long distance from the lobby.Pool not open.

Breakfast cost for a continental breakfast was very high. Food of average quality.

Attitude of reception staff was at best lackadaisical and at worst hostile/aggresive.

Sheraton Roma is a beautifully crafted hotel. The location is at the business centre of the city. The Hotel & Conference Centre too was well equippent and the overall experience was good!!

I am late in writing this review, I know.
The hotel is a very busy conference hotel, no charme, but very convenient as not far from Fiumicino airport.
I would recomend this hotel for the location.
The service is nothing special, particularly in the breakfast restaurant.
If you want to have troubles, ask for a cappucino.... The waiter will look at you like if you are coming from a different planet !!!!!!!!!!

We stayed at Sheraton Roma for 5 days in April 2009. We found a good deal through www.booking.com and so chose this hotel even though it is not in the historical centre. We were very pleased. Excellent rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, clean, great breakfast, quiet, free internent access at the hotel lobby, great fitness centre (not that we will need it if you walk all day in Rome!). As for the distance to the town centre, there is of course the hotel Shuttle Bus (every one and half hour, at 3 euro per person, two ways) but there is also Bus No 780 which runs every half hour and takes you to Piazza Venezia in 30 minutes. The bus stop is RIGHT OUTSIDE the hotel and the ticket costs 1 euro. So, the distance to the city centre didn't inconvenience us at all. You can also take a taxi to the city centre for approx 15 euro.
